"Dead centre of city. Friendly welcome with good recommendations for visitors. First two recommendations were worth it. Room very good if sliding toilet door unusual and not light sealed for partner. Luxurious sauna. Ate in Trattoria, decent with excellent service. Expansive buffet breakfast with designed tableware adding to class. Would be the first choice in Lahti."

"I see a lot of reviews that bemoan a worn-down hotel with threadbare carpets or cracked tile. I feel those reviews, but I also consider how much it costs to update things that people break, even in your own house. This hotel was perfectly serviceable and it was very affordable when I needed it. The bed was comfortable, it was relatively quiet for a downtown area, and the location was great."

"Great location on the main square in downtown Lahti. Supermarket right at the corner and restaurants in walking distance. Comfortable room with kitchenette. really convenient laundry room on top floor. The only thing that was frustrating was not receiving clear information about checkin. Apparently the code they send you for your room door is the same code you are to use to enter the building but the email we received didn't say that so we had to scramble to reach someone to figure that out."

"I went to this property midweek in mid-August and expected it to be packed, but it was actually kind of quiet and sleepy. There's a small cafe and very good shower and toilet facilities. It's mostly rvs, though there is a small facility for tents behind the main building. They have small rustic cottages as well, I stayed in one of those for one night and it was okay, not great, but I also realize that everyone's standards are very high nowadays, a very simple roof over your head with some ants in it and your own refrigerator, not so bad! The staff were helpful and cheerful, and it's a pretty laid-back place. It's within walking distance of the cute town of Heinola. I'd stay here again if I wanted to be in the area. My one complaint is something they can't help--traffic noise from the big highway and the bridge in the distance. I think this affects those of us in tents more than RVs."

"Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem Haus. Es liegt sehr idyllisch, ist stilvoll eingerichtet, es ist alles da, was man braucht. Der Platz am See ist ebenfalls wunderschön, man ist ganz für sich und kann die Ruhe genießen. Wir können dieses Haus ohne Vorbehalte weiterempfehlen."

"You can’t beat the location of Kumpeli! Absolutely beautiful views of the river! The new owners have made some excellent changes. The spa was great before, small but very pleasant, now with the addition of the fabulous terrace with sunchairs and direct access to the river. The lobby is so much more inviting and service very friendly and efficient. Of course the rooms could do with some updating but they are very clean. Do get a room facing the river though…Really looking forward to going again and even more improvements to this very valued hotel!"
