This stay was everything I had hoped it would be for our first stop in Alaska. The property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were clean and tastefully designed, and the service was impeccable. I would recommend anyone to stay here and hope to stay here again one day in the future!

The condo was beautiful and very well supplied. The owners included all the extras such as: Drinks in fridge by hot tub, wagon to brong bags in, washer dryer and detergent, welcome chocolate bar and more.

Wonderful attention to detail. The rooms were clean and well-thought out: coffee, creamer, heated floors in the bathroom, towels for the hot tub…the room had a nice deck with the most spectacular and clear views of the inlet, mountains, glacier, and harbor. The host ws helpful and responsive, while being completely unobtrusive. It was a wonderful stay!

Home away from home in Homer!

The Lighthouse is a charming and welcoming place to stay! It has all the amenities (and more) to make your visit relaxing like your home away from home! We had a kitchen, patio, washer/dryer, and the view is unbelievable! There are multiple decks, grills for bbqs, a hot tub, and a delightful garden with fountains. Liz was always available and offered her warm hospitality! It is close to the Homer Spit and central to town. When in Homer, stay here!

I love everything about this place! It's quiet and clean and such amazing views!! Lots of places to sit and enjoy the view... we actually ate dinner (twice) on the deck. The room was spacious and super well-equipped... bed was comfortable and linens were lovely! I highly recommend this as the perfect spot in Homer... Liz and Josh were right there for anything we needed. I give this 10 stars!!!

The perfect place

Absolutely magical! Our stay at this special place in Homer, AK was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views—truly some of the most stunning scenery we’ve ever experienced. The cabin itself was cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed with every detail carefully considered. You can feel the love and care the owners have poured into this place! We had an unexpected hiccup when our son got sick during our vacation, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. This was the perfect sanctuary to relax, recharge, and heal. The peaceful setting, comfy beds, and warm, welcoming atmosphere made all the difference. The owners are the sweetest people—so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Despite feeling tucked away in our own little haven, we were just minutes from everything Homer has to offer. It was the best of both worlds: privacy and convenience. We truly can’t wait to come back and make even more memories in this incredible place.

The property views were amazing. The bed was comfortable and the accommodations were modern. The electronic door lock was a challenge every time. You never knew if it would lock or unlock. Each time it took multiple tries to get it to lock or unlock. The curtains were not blackout as we have experienced with other Alaskan accommodations. It was odd that the shower did not have a niche or a soap holder. The unit had a washer and dryer that we planned on using, but couldn’t because the washer was full of black mold that did not wipe away. We would not stay here again.

The unit was a studio and included everything we needed for our stay. We had a surprise bonus, which was a heated floor in the bathroom. The only negative was our second night when a new group moved into the room adjacent to ours. There is a common linen closet between the two rooms that the new group took over and left the door between their room and the closet open and the light on. The noise was able to transfer into our room. I would recommend deadbolt locks that management retains on these doors to allow separate groups in the two rooms to have more privacy and quiet. Management can open the space if one group rents out both rooms.

Beautifully decorated unit and grounds with spectacular view from either of the 2 community use decks or from the private deck, or even from inside the unit with large sliding glass door view out to the beautiful flower gardens and mountains across the bay. Was nice to have the view from the warmth of inside. Bed was very comfortable, shower was spacious, washer and dryer was very handy inside our unit with detergent available for our use. Liz, the owner, was out gardening on our arrival, and was very welcoming and friendly. Even offered to give us bear spray to use if we did any hiking. The cleaner wasn't quite ready for our arrival at 4 pm, so we waited 10 minutes for the floor to dry. Prior tenant hadn't run the dishwasher and we had to ask for more soap and toilet paper during our 2 day stay, but none of that would prevent me from highly recommending the Lighthouse. There were yummy treats in the room for us too, as well as coffee and tea. No sugar but Liz would have provided if we had asked. Hope we can return someday.
