Condominium resort Aston at the Waikiki Banyan upholds a long history as a favorite place to stay among locals and visitors alike. Located just one block away from the excitement of Kalakaua Avenue, it’s close to shopping and restaurants but slightly removed to the quieter side of Waikiki. Christmas in Waikiki

We spent our holiday in Hawaii at the Waikiki Banyan. The condo was in a great location. The staff was helpful and friendly. The condo itself was a little worn and could use some new carpet, paint, and furniture. Sometimes the wait for an elevator was 10+ minutes! Overall, this was a good place for us to stay.

While overall fine the few things that could be improved while not breaking the bank were not. The beds were bottom of the line when new ten years ago so you can imagine how uncomfortable today. The first room we were put in had broken coffee table glass fixed with packing tape and the carpet was dingy and stretched out. The couch in our second room was very run down, no cushion left in the cushion, water stains on the ceiling,and missing glass on that coffee table. You’re paying for the convenience of a full kitchen. The front desk staff was AWESOME!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The reception/people - They are pleasant to speak with, respectful and accomodating. The Room - not the best, not the worse, economical, convenient, conducive to rest, cooking, shower. The aircon works, the washroom works, and the fridge work. I complained about the double lock, and they fixed it the next day. Generally, it is Excellent!Walking distance to almost everything - beach - restaurant - ABC's - rentals. Our Flight to go home was not until nighttime, I asked if I could stay longer while waiting for my Flight. They are very kind and understanding—incredible kindness.The minor bad: The closet is dusty; if you rub your palm and look, you will see and feel it. So clean it with a towel before placing your clothes.Parking is difficult - but you need a bit of patience, and you will find one. It costs $35 per night.Not much of Directional instructions (where is this and that)

Had to buy newer bed linens because they were old and smelled. Check in/out was easy. Was a little difficult finding parking in the evenings. We would stay at this property again just not this unit.
