This little Penthouse at the foot of Diamond is a little gem! I used to live on Oahu and I can tell you that the location is perfect! Quiet with incredible views and just a five minute walk into all the action Waikiki has to offer. With a view on both side of the penthouse you get practically 360 degree beautiful views of all of Waikiki and Honolulu. I could lay in bed and have my coffee while watching the sunrise over Diamond Head to my right and look over to my left and see Waikiki and the Wainai coast! The suite was very clean and had all the necessities one could need for a vacation stay in Hawaii. The one thing that stood out the moist was Jan, the owner. She truly was a Super Host!

Amazing stay

Beautiful, well kept building with great amenities on the property and within walking distance. Amazing views from the unit. The unit was comfortable and well appointed. The host was very helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful View and Great Location

Cozy and clean, can’t beat the view and location. Jan was a great communicator and her listing is accurate. We’ve stayed in various Waikiki locations and this was ideal for us. If you plan to rent a parking space, a mid-size SUV is the largest you should get.

Paradise

Great Penthouse Studio!!! We loved the location close to Waikiki Beach but far away from the hustle and bustle. The views from the unit are amazing. We highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back.

Diamond Head and Paradise

This is a terrific property and I enjoyed my stay immensely. While small, the views from the unit and location are breathtaking The property manager was very easy to work with and communicated very effectively. The unit was very clean and comfortable Highly recommend if you don’t need a lot of space.

Had a great stay. Only about one mile walk to Waikiki so we got the quiet of Diamond Head but a short jaunt to the faster pace of Waikiki. Rented through Turo twice. Both cars were only 1/2 a mile away so it was very centrally located. Jan was great! Very helpful.

Extraordinary Experience!

I adore this property and it was one of my best vacations ever! The area was safe, peaceful, and quiet with stunning, captivating views but so close to all the restaurants, shopping and energy of the heart of Waikiki. I love how close it sits to the tennis/pickleball courts at Diamond Head and enjoyed a daily walk on Diamond Head Road with magical views. Jan was delightful and provided many wonderful recommendations. The condo had everything I needed and the breezes made for the most refreshing experience when at the condo. There is nothing I can think of that could be improved upon as this rental is a treasure!

Nice property with beautiful views

The property is nice and the patio area is perfect for peaceful sun bathing. The room itself is cozy with nice views, a nice breeze, and a comfortable bed. There are a couple minor things that could be repaired such as the towel rack coming out of the wall and the shower head feeling loose. The room is walkable to restaurants (about a mile to a mile and a half) but we spent a lot of money on Ubers to get to sightseeing things like a luau, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head and restaurants further away. The property felt very safe and the other residents were friendly and welcoming.

Good Choice For Most

This property is perfect for those who value time on the beach as it is very close to the beach. The view is awesome. The room is somewhat more like a New York sublet than what I expected. Its small. Just know that. Also, if shopping and being in the bustling city is more your speed, I would stay elsewhere closer to the shops. Its about .08 mile which is t terrible but gets annoying if you just want to go to ABC store. Overall, really great experience and would recommend!

Peaceful, Beautiful Hawaii at its Best!

We had to, sadly, say goodbye to this wonderful spot at the Diamond Head Hotel & Residences after 8 nights there. We cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our stay. The studio is exactly as described, beautiful, well appointed, with outstanding views from both sides, everything we could need to make our stay as comfortable as our own home. Jan, the owner, was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. She made sure that we had everything that we needed, and answered questions quickly when we had them. My favorite part of our stay was the cooling trade winds that blew through the apartment, the sound of the waves, the change of the weather, and the light at sunrise and sunset. There really are no words adequate enough to describe how much we enjoyed our stay. It certainly changed the way we always viewed staying on this shore, in town, this close to Waikiki. We tend to favor the North Short, but spending time in the Diamond Head neighborhood, with the park, the little hidden beaches, and so may places to walk in the morning, certainly changed our minds. It was simply idyllic. We will most definitely return at some point in the future, and if not us next, some of our Ohana because they most certainly will hear of our experience and see our photos! Mahalo for everything - every little thoughtful touch, your kindness, and for sharing it with us. We loved every minute of our stay.

Older building, studio was small but well appointed. Views were good, but no private outside space. No access to beach without walking out on the street. Found 2 restaurants within 1/2 mile. One in a fairly pricey hotel. The other was basically a fast food restaurant. If you think you will walk to all waikiki has to offer, think again. My wife and I walk a mile and a half per day, up and down hills. In the heat and humidity, we rarely walked more than 1/2 mile. You need a car. As far as the owner, great communication, but when we decided to leave after the first night, due to the isolation of the property, we inquired about a partial refund. We had rented for 10 nights. All we were hoping was that a token refund would be issued for the very limited use of the property, so little to no wear and tear, and virtually no use of the utilities. The owner would not issue any refund. I realize I had no legal standing to expect a refund, but a few hundred dollars refunded would have been a nice gesture. So, we are unhappy that we concentrated on the owner's beautiful pictures of the view from the studio, and did not research more thoroughly. No pool, limited outside space to relax and "hang" out, few restaurants/bars within walking distance, access to the beach and ocean are along a fairly busy street, and a studio apartment that is about the size of a hotel room, i.e. the "kitchen" contains a microwave, and a coffee maker. We were expecting more.

PARADISE AWAY FROM THE BUSTLING CROWDS

A real gem with all the comforts of home. It has spectacular views, hot water showers, and a comfortable bed with soft linens and fluffy pillows. Outside is a beautiful fountain with Diamond Head looking right down on you. We ate at some of the nicest restaurants within blocks. We walked down to the downtown Waikiki area for dining, sun, and beaches. Take a Lyft, quick, polite, and friendly. Jan is always there, give her a text. She is kind and thoughtful just what makes a visit wonderful!

Amazingly Relaxing

We loved staying at this beautiful property. Jan is a fantastic communicator. Everything was as discribed. Room was clean, and came equipped with everything you need for a stay on Oahu. Views were fantastic. Great location, easy access to many great beaches, activities, and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

Jan’s property was great! There is an awesome view out each of the windows. It is small, but has everything you need or want. Jan was so helpful and super responsive. Great locations and communication

We were very pleased with our stay. There was a flood upstair from us but it was dealt with and Jan was great at communicating. We absolutely loved the the location as it was a great way to get away from the crowded strip of Waikiki proper. It was a perfect 1 mile walk which we enjoyed doing in the morning for coffee and breakfast. The small neighborhood near us was adorable and unlike anything we saw while driving around. We had a car for 4 days (which I highly recommend if you want to explore the whole island) and did not have a problem finding parking out front. Jan had everything we needed in storage to snorkel and chairs plus umbrella for the beach.

Very nice

The condo unit was accurately described and very clean. Jan provided everything needed for a 10 day stay. She pays attention to detail! The property is also safe with easy access to the main area of Waikiki. Easy access to many places using Uber. There are good restaurants within walking distance and a large park across the street. Beautiful views out each side of the room. I can recommend this property.

Maile Penthouse- our perfect home away from home!

This was our THIRD stay at Jan’s penthouse, and we love it there. For us, it’s all about the awesome views and quiet location. Our favorites are waking up to the sunrises that can be seen easily from the room, and ending the day in the lovely lawn enjoying the sunsets. Jan is a wonderful host providing so many extra perks like giving us plenty of coffee and bottled water for our two week stay. Having Tide available for doing laundry was truly appreciated as well. Jan will take good care of you so don’t hesitate to stay, you will love it here! !
