Waikiki Banyan Ocean Deluxe Condo, Government certified for short term rentals.

This large, fully furnished, one-bedroom/one-bath condo is on the 34th floor at the Waikiki Banyan. This corner unit features beautiful ocean views. Free parking and Wifi use. The kitchen was recently redecorated. Brand new air upgraded conditioner. Newly upgraded Queen size sofa bed and lounge chairs in living room.

The condo accommodates up to four guests -- with two twin beds (which can be converted to a king-size bed, upon request) and a queen-size sofa bed. Amenities include air-conditioning, a lanai, upgraded HD cable TV, a DVD player, and a phone with unlimited free local calls to the island of Oahu. There is free high speed wireless inter-net access. Additionally, there is a full kitchen and free parking. The unit was recently redecorated with new wood and tile floors, new paint, new vanity & tiles in the bathroom as well as plush new beds and new island furniture and new drapes. Waikiki Beach is just one block away.

Good Location

Location of building in Waikiki is good and the views are great. Seemed like building needs updating and some renovation work was ongoing in hallways and parking lots. Having parking pass made parking easy.

This property and unit were amazing! Complex was quiet and the grounds very clean. This corner unit had breath taking views. Shopping and restaurants abundant. Groceries nearby as well as Starbucks. The owner, Howard, was on top of any maintenance issues! Definitely will be back!

Location, location, location

We adore staying at the Waikiki Banyan. The location cannot be beat and the free parking is a huge perk. The check in process was very easy and all staff at the Banyan embody the aloha spirit of Hawai'i. The view from the condo was stunning - Waikiki Beach is a gorgeous back drop. The condo could use some maintenance (bathroom window, lanai drain, overall cleanliness) and instructions (tv and shower - - hint; pull out on the shower handle HARD to start the flow of water) but we greatly appreciated the late checkout granted by our host. Mahalo Howard!

Value for money in Waikiki

Great unit & location. Spacious, inviting & great view of the water. We have stayed in 6-8 different units at the Banyan and this was the best one we’ve had in the price range. Well worth it & Howard was very easy to work with. Only suggestion would be to perhaps have a few more towels and a replacement set of sheets available for a family of four for two weeks. All in all, we would recommend it & wouldn’t hesitate to return to this unit!

Perfect and Beautiful!

This was an amazing stay! Less than 5min walk to the sand, surrounded by all kinds of dining shops and things to so. View was spectacular, patio is big and spacious, room was more than big enough with stunning views at every window. There were lots of extra towels, a closet full of beach items, kitchen had anything you could need to cook a meal on site. Property owner Howard communicated very well, gave all information we needed in detail and was beyond kind! Room is conveniently located next to trash and laundry, but you do not hear or smell anything. This properly made our trip for sure! When we come back to Waikiki we will definitely try to stay here again as well as recommended it to anyone we know is visiting. Thank you Howard for allowing us to enjoy this place for our honeymoon!

Most Incredible View

Our stay here was excellent! The photos of the ocean views really don’t do this place justice!!!! We got in late at night and when we woke up our first morning we were totally taken aback by the incredible ocean view and sunrise over diamond head which you can see from the kitchen. We spent every morning enjoying our coffee on the lanai. I’ve been to Waikiki 4 or 5 times now and this has been the best stay yet (we usually have stayed in tower 1 of the banyan). I also love how this place just felt like a home, more than a hotel. Thank you Howard for being a great host/answering questions fast. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for their next oahu getaway! We will absolutely be back! Hopefully sooner than later!!!

Great location with a great view.

I reached out to the owner of the property as the final payment deadline approached because we were concerned that COVID health restrictions could interfere with our trip and we would be out of pocket for the condo. The owner understood our concerns and extended the deadline. He was so accommodating that my wife and I were both shocked and impressed by it. We did reach out to him a couple of times just days before our trip to try to arrange an earlier check-in and he didn’t respond but we called the property management company and were able to make arrangements through them. We’ve stayed at the Banyan several times now; each time at a different unit. We like the location and we like the BBQ deck on the 6th floor. We found the unit was clean; the kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The view was fantastic: Diamond Head out the kitchen and bedroom windows and Waikiki beach from the lanai. Perfect for coffee every morning and cocktails every evening. It did take us a while to figure out the TV in the living room and we never did get the bedroom TV to work. The living room TV was just a matter of pushing the button on the side of the TV itself to change the input. We had a few instances of people getting into the elevator and refusing to put on their mask which was a little concerning. Would have liked to have seen Security doing the occasional spot-checks, but it is what it is. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent property in a super convenient location. A few quirks about this older unit (balcony door wouldn’t lock close, front door sometimes got jammed) but everything was clean and comfortable! Having the laundry right next door is SO convenient, and free parking is a huge plus. Would stay here again.

Waikiki Banyan Anniversary Trip

This condo is centrally located in Honolulu, less than two blocks from Waikiki Beach. It’s an easy walk to the beach, and all of the enticements of Waikiki!The unit is located on the 34th floor of Tower 2, and the unit and lanai face Waikiki Beach, a real plus if you are interested in views. Kitchen is well stocked with pans/pots and utensils. Parking is included and we never had difficulty locating a good parking spot.Communication with the owner and the management company was seamless with quick responses. My wife and I were very happy as we had to contact the owner and the management company to answer some quick questions. The only issue we encountered was the pool and recreation deck (pool and BBQ) was not available due to renovations (mid-April 2025 till ?) and it would have been nice to know this beforehand as we use the pools and BBQ’s when we stay at various locations. If having a pool is important to your stay… please take note and plan accordingly.All other aspects of our stay were very acceptable. Proximity to the beach and Waikiki is unbeatable.

2nd Stay Was Great Again

This was the 2nd time staying in this unit. We were again pleased. The location was very good and suited us well. The unit is a bit dated, but is comfortable. We appreciated the amount of towels, pool towels and linens made available for our two week stay. It would be nice if the sliding door could be shut closed. It made the air conditioner work extra hard since warm air was always coming in through the opening. There were long waits for elevators since one was being updated and was not functioning. But all in all, a great trip and we would stay there a third time!

Great Location - Property is Dated

Property is in a great location, easy access to the Waikiki beach area and plenty of shopping options. One elevator in each tower is being replaced so waiting for elevators was slow at times. We rented a large vehicle and when we arrived we were not allowed to park in the garage as it was considered oversized. I spoke with Howard and he helped coordinate speaking to security to check for options. In the end we went back and swapped for a different car at the airport. The property was nice but dated. Howard was very responsive with any questions we had.

Great location and views

Pros- Fantastic location …only a 3 minute walk to a quiet part of the beach. Beautiful Views-bedroom and kitchen window beautiful sunrise over Diamond Head, front window and balcony beautiful ocean view. All Essentials were in condo and easy access to laundry, garbage and recycling. Parking-onsite parking at no extra cost. Daily parking rate in Waikiki is $45 at minimum. Cons-The interior was not clean with visible dirt in high touch areas and around windows. The bathroom ceiling had black mold next to window. This was addressed quickly once we notified the owner.

Nice view

This condo was very well maintained and clean condominium. The view from terrace was stunning and easy to go to a beach. The condominium has swimming pool, playgrounds and BBQ facilities. Bed was comfortable and they provided many towels and even beach goods.(sand toys, beach chair and parasol). I liked their shampoo and conditioner.They provided many kinds kitchen tools as well so we could cook a lot while we were there. I thought if they had salad spinner, it will be convenient. Only problem was when I check in, provided key code was not working and we had to find out new keycode. We could enter the room since a cleaner was still there but I had to call a management company to figure out key code. We could solve the issue so it was not do big deal but for next renter, I recommend to update the information. Overall, we really liked this stay. We had a great time and made a many great memories there. Thank you so much to let us stay your beautiful place.

The condo is high up in a building looking directly at the beach, in a great location only a few minute‘s walk away. The condo was perfect for my daughter and I, who slept on a comfortable softbed. We had a few little issues and Howard was very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay!
