A small but cozy little place tucked in the hustle and bustle. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even upgraded our room upon arrival for no extra cost. The room was clean, and the balcony was a nice feature, though we didn't use it much. The only somewhat negative side was the very limited pool chairs. Plus, they kept running out of pool/ beach towels. Otherwise, our stay was very nice and would visit again.

This place is a hidden gem!! We booked another place which was awful, staff took us in with our two small children without issue and made sure we were well taken care of. The front desk staff was amazing. The whole place has this great vintage but modernized vibe. Absolutely loved it! Be advised, the music goes until about 830 or 9 and the bar gets hoppin’ so just an fyi. We have small kids but we were all able to sleep so it wasn’t that big of an issue.

This is the second time we stayed. Affordable, clean, great pool, awesome bar, amazing staff, inviting, welcoming! Towels, boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas for free use. Great happy hour perks and deals. Our only spot to stay when in Honolulu!

Such a perfectly located hotel. Just a few minutes away from everything you might need or want to see! Staff and guest were all friendly and respectful. Only down fall is being on the 3rd floor and no elevator, staff also did not offer to help take up our luggage or mention there was no elevator to get to our room.

The staff is so kind and helpful. The location is an easy walk to Waikiki Beach. The amenities are maintained. Its honestly the cutest and best cost effective option for travelers looking for a place to stay thats accessible to all the Waikiki hot spots. Highly recommend!

Super cute place however the pool did not seem to get deep cleaned the whole time I was there and I was there 6days and it seemed like the filter wasn’t really doing its job. The check in staff super nice. The rooms did the job. The location was great for everything we had planned.

We had such a great stay at White Sands Hotel! The location was perfect, just a short walk to Waikiki Beach, restaurants, shopping, and everything we wanted to explore. The hotel has such a cute, tropical retro vibe and honestly felt like a little hidden oasis in the middle of Waikiki. We especially loved the pool area and the fun swing bar it was such a nice place to relax after a day of exploring. The staff were also friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and having a balcony was a nice touch. The hotel isn’t a huge luxury resort, but for the location, atmosphere, and overall experience, we thought it was a great choice!

Checking in to the hotel was a smooth process and the staff was very helpful! The room was very clean. The bar staff was kind and the drinks were amazing! Poolside is perfect to sit during the day and the hotel is perfectly placed by the international Waikiki market to roam around during the day and nighttime.

Really great hotel for the price. It’s an older building so there’s no elevator and carrying your bags to the 3rd floor isn’t fun. The staff helped with the bags on the way up. Parking/valet is not as smooth as it could be because the valet is across the street and they stop taking cars at a certain time so we had to go to a different lot. The rooms are spacious and the ac works well. Beds were comfy and staff was nice. I would stay here again

This is a hotel that is a repeat on out Waikiki place to stay list if you’ve packed light because there is no elevator and there may be a wait for help with your luggage up the stairs or for valet to bring your rental car. The hotel staff are great! The rooms are very dated and there are places where you can see the latest repairs if you look up or around. Would have given 5 stars except there was a private event at the hotel pool bar which last well after 1am. While it sure sounded like the guests had fun, it was difficult to get to sleep and we weren’t able to use the bar because of the event which was a real bummer because the suspended rope swings at the bar make for a good time by themselves.
