Kemah Bay Retreat: Steps to Kemah Boardwalk, Bayfront, 216-ft Pier, Elevator, EV

Our waterfront home is only a 2-3 minute walk from the Kemah Boardwalk and the Kemah Lighthouse District, where you'll find shopping, food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. At the house, enjoy the sight and sound of the bay from boats and birds passing by. Get on the water with provided kayaks and explore the coast. Fish from our private 216-ft pier. There's an elevator, EV charger, foosball, ping pong, basketball, arcade, outdoor chess/checkers, and cornhole game.

The vacation retreat is situated right on the shoreline. Greeted with a beautiful sunrise each morning, you will be awed at the magnificent panoramic views of the bay from outside as well as inside of the house. There are lounging areas on the covered balcony overlooking the gulf. The single and tandem kayaks can be launched from the concrete pad next to the water. Life jackets of different sizes are provided.

The heart of the house is its open floor plan that combines the living area with the dining room and kitchen. Rounding out the 2nd floor are bedrooms 1 & 2 and bathrooms 1 & 2. Bedrooms 3, 4 & 5 , bathroom 3 and an additional living room are on the 1st floor. All rooms are within the house under one roof and accessible with inside stairs and elevator. Park on our nestled driveway away from the street.

Pierfect Day at Kemah Bay! Be at ease on our private 230-ft pier with hand railings on all sides. Chill under plenty of shade and cozy string lights which adorn the pier. There are lights for night fishing and cleaning stations with running water and sink on the pier and patio. We have caught red fish, flounder, speckled trout, black/red drum, sheepshead, catfish, alligator gar, crabs, including sharks! If you love to fish, this is the place!

All HDTVs are smart, which means you can watch your favorite cable and internet channels by using only the TV remote. You will have access to our ad-free YouTube Premium account and YouTube TV account, which broadcasts live TV from 85+ popular cable channels, on-demand shows, local news and sports. There are other video streaming apps installed on the TV that you can log in with your own account.

The Kemah Boardwalk and the Lighthouse District have many events and activities scheduled throughout the year so please check their websites for latest happenings. We have the prime up-close spot to experience the Kemah Boardwalk Fireworks on certain holidays and every Friday from June to July. You can "sea" floating arrays of lights illuminating from numerous boats surrounding the fireworks barge, which is anchored not far from the end of our pier.

IMPORTANT: We strive to make your stay enjoyable, secure and safe for everyone. Only guests in the reservation are allowed on the property. Please review our House Rules section.

For bedroom #4, there's a bunk bed with a double at the bottom and twin at the top. There's also a separate trundle bed (twin size) that can be pulled out from the bottom of the bunk bed.

Elevator is 32" wide and 40" deep. It is reserved for guests who have difficulties in using the stairs. No children are allowed inside without an adult present.

The level 2 EV car charger is the Tesla Gen 3 Home Charging Station. Adapter J1772 is needed to connect to non-Tesla EVs.

You can check yourself in with the keypad. We live in the area and are available when needed.

You will have access to the house, pier, backyard and sea. Doors labeled as "No Access", attic, shed and anything that is locked are off limits.

There are outside security cameras at the front and back of the house.

Fireplace is not in service. Driveway gate remains open during your stay.

Great place for a large family!

The place was beautiful! We celebrated Thanksgivings weekend at this lovely home. Everything we needed to cook our holiday meal was easily accessible in the lovely open concept kitchen. The location was very convenient and located within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful get-away

We had a great time relaxing at this home. We didnt have time to enjoy all the aspects but we plan to stay again. Walking distance to Kemah was perfect as well as as the resteraunts near by. Highlight was the fishing pier which suprisingly all of our teenage girls enjoyed and hung out their both nights!!

Perfect getaway in Kemah at the Boardwalk

I can’t stress enough how truly perfect this experience was. Best VRBO hosts ever - seriously. Amazing communication and the property was incredible. Every drawer, door, etc., is labeled - they thought of everything. Fun property as well.

1st Annual Grand's Fishing Trip

My family, especially my grandchildren, enjoyed every second of our stay celebrating their 1st fishing trip with Grandmother! The property is absolutely fabulous. The inside is very accommodating for every possible need. The outside offered treats for all ages. AND the fishing and crabbing set-up, the pier, the lighting, cleaning table, water availability is outstanding. Sunsets, the sound of the waves, the near-by attractions, and comforts of home, made this adventure one that will be repeated.

The perfect place for our family!

This house has everything we needed for a lovely weekend getaway for our family. The location is fantastic! We were both on the water and a short walk from the Kemah boardwalk area. Communication with owners was clear! The property was neat and clean. We will happily stay there again in the future!

Wonderful.

The house is very clean and every aspect was very well thought out. Large room for gathering. Games for adults and kids. And a very short walk to the boardwalk without the feeling of being in a busy area.

We had a wonderful weekend at this house. Right on the water, so close to the Kemah Boardwalk and Starbucks. Everything was within walking distance. House was big enough we could spread out and not be on top of each other. Lots of memories made!

Lovely home for mini staycation

The property was very well kept and as described in the listing. Everything inside was well organized and labeled. Such a beautiful home on the bay. We enjoyed our short stay away from the city and pandemic to relax on the bay and crab. Le was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this property again.

My friends and I stayed here for a fantasy football draft and the place exceeded our expectations! The fishing pier was the highlight for us but we also very much enjoyed the games throughout the house, especially the foosball table :) Location can't be beat as well. It's also within 5 minute walk to the boardwalk and all the various bars and restaurants nearby. Hands down the best VRBO stay I've ever had and Le was such an incredible host. Can't recommend this place enough!

Wonderful home and host!!!

What a wonderful time, home, host and experience! The home is gorgeous, very clean and welcoming. Booking and check-in were easy and we felt at home immediately. This home is set up not only for staying overnight but also having fun with family and friends. We fished, played games, enjoyed quality time and relaxing in the waterfront atmosphere. We also loved the convenience of walking back and forth to the Kemah Boardwalk when we wanted. The host was very kind and helpful and we plan to stay here again!!!!!

Great property!!

Decided to spend my daughters 8th birthday in kemah. Location is literally right around the corner from the boardwalk. 5-10 min walk from all the restaurants. The house itself was just as listed. Comfy clean bedding, cold ac through out the home & all the amenities. The family loved the ping pong table & foose ball table. Definitely not a home to pass up

Work retreat

Took my employee on a company retreat. This house was awesome. Everything you see on the Vrbo is exactly what it looks like. Perfection. We fish had fun. Walked to near by restaurant on Friday anc Saturday never had to leave the house. Thankyou

Perfect house in the perfect location!

The house is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, we had a wonderful view from the house and even better from the private pier. Our boys caught tons of fish from the pier, had a blast on the games available. The house is within walking distance to the boardwalk and all the restaurants, very convenient. In the midst of all the COVID-19 ordeal, I wanted to make sure we would have a good time even if we didn’t leave the house, and we definitely did. The house was very clean and Le provided everything thing we needed to have the most enjoyable stay, we would definitely stay here again. Le, thanks for everything you did to make our stay wonderful!

Perfect Getaway - Lovely Views!

What a perfect place. The views were lovely and they have thought of everything for this house. There is shade on the patios for the heat of the day and the second floor (main floor) is nothing but views from the kitchen, living room and dining area. Well equipped kitchen (not on spices though - bring your own) but well stocked on everything from pots, pans, utensils, foil, baggies, you name it. The place is very roomy and very clean. The owner was quick to respond when I had a momentary blip on a TV due to user error. We had a girl's weekend, but if we had kids this place is perfect. Plenty of room downstairs for lots of kids and their own TV so the adults can stay upstairs and enjoy the view and kids can be downstairs and entertain themselves. Oh - also ultra well stocked on games. You can leave them at home. Location couldn't be better - just far enough from the boardwalk to be nice and quiet (we could not hear the roller coaster from inside the house), but just close enough that it is a quick walk. Definitely coming back!!!

Amazing Kemah Stay

We had a fabulous week stay at this amazing property. The host is exceptional. Every area of the property has special and thoughtful touches that just enhanced our visit and showed how much the host cares about his guests. The location absolutely CAN NOT be beat! Ten of us ranging in age from 12 to 65-ish all rate this as the best vacation ever. So much to do The pier drew us in and did not disappoint. Lots and lots of fishing. Wonderful meals all within walking distance. A great amusement park next door (yet the property felt private and peaceful). Half way between Houston and Galveston so we made trips to both cities for Football bowl games, the Zoo, walks on the beach, cruises, etc. Again, the location is perfect. New Year's Eve we were treated to a very elaborate fireworks display and the fireworks barge was anchored straight off our pier. We had the best view you can imagine, all snuggled up under blankets on the beautiful upper deck. It was bliss. The whole stay was bliss. Le was wonderful to work with. Before booking I wondered how this property got such a high rating, and I hoped it was "for real". It deserves it's near-perfect score and more. Above and beyond. Perfect family vacation home

This home was absolutely perfect in every way. The communication with the owner, the layout, cleanliness, the view and proximity to local attractions, the amenities such as kayaks, basketball court, ping pong table, board games, even a little arcade table for the kids. A TV in most rooms so spreading out was easy to do. A high priority for me are the beds, linens and pillows - a nice house with cheap beds is a deal breaker for me and these were so COMFORTABLE! The shutters throughout the house keep it even cooler and nice and dark at night. There’s also a separate thermostat for the lower level so everyone was happy. Those who like it colder slept on one level and those of us who like it more room temp slept in the other. There’s a lot going on in the area which we loved but once inside the house is serene and quiet. No noise concerns. The area brings in a very diverse group on the weekend as well which we really liked. Everyone is welcomed. This has been the best family vacation we’ve taken with our kids (7 and 9) and we all agreed we’ll be coming back next year again. Highly recommend. Fantastic property

I agree 100% with some of the other reviews. This place is excellent for all ages. The property is well maintained and cleaned, which is something you do not get at other rentals. There is plenty of room inside and outside for whatever you desire, relaxation or entertainment. If needed, the owner is in communication with you at anytime to help with any questions. Inside: the property comes with labels on all drawers which is so handy when trying to find something in the kitchen (which they have everything you'll need). The arcade is legit! 100s of games from the 80s/90s. My kids loved foosball and the ping pong table is available if that is your game. Bedrooms and bathrooms are all well maintained and clean. Outside: your own private pier is great if you like to fish. We caught a ton while we stayed. They have an outdoor fridge and cleaning stations by the pier. You are walking distance to the boardwalk for the rides or bars/restaurants. The basketball goal is in the driveway which has plenty of space. There are tables and chairs on either level if you want to relax and watch the sun rise/set. Overall, you can't beat this place with all of the amenities and attention to detail the property provides. I highly recommend!
