River Trent Pleasure boat on the River Trent at Hoveringham
River Trent Pleasure boat on the River Trent at Hoveringham
Footpath from Hoveringham This now forms a T-junction with the bridleway along the low hedge at the end of the field, but might well have continued further. The area beyond is now taken up by gravel pits.
Causeway Dyke Seen here running past the east side of Hoveringham.
Just in square A short section of the left bank of the River Trent just cuts through the corner of the square. At this point it has been broken away a bit to create a drinking place for cattle. Across the river, the flat ground is called Watson's Piece, and the high point behind is called Toot Hill.
