I had a nice stay, i had everything I needed in the room. The chair in the room looked a little used and could probably be replaced, but other than that, everything was okay and I had a good experience overall. I will stay here again.

Over all it was fine- the bed was clean as well as the room but the general atmosphere is bleak and depressing. Run down building, questionable staff..but if you just need a place to lay your head, again it’s fine. I would not go back.

I stayed at the St Charles hotel for a wedding weekend getaway. It is very basic accommodations. The location is great for walking into downtown but there is a park right across the street that seemed to attract a not-so-great crowd. Lobby smelled like cigarettes which was a turn off. The room was all I needed for a weekend stay. It seemed like the room and furniture had been renovated recently and the room was overall o-k. Bring ear plugs if you are there on a summer weekend and need the AC on during the night, the AC wall unit was very noisy. Overall, it did the job as a place to sleep and shower during a weekend getaway for a wedding. Would I stay there again? No. I would save a few extra bucks and spend more dollars to stay at a nicer place.
