Historic beachside home in charming Sunset Beach

  • Charming cottage in eclectic Sunset Beach, California. Out the front door and across the street you're on the sand in one of Orange County's finest beaches, celebrated in Beach Boys songs

    Perfect for a couple, or a couple with up to two children, the cottage has a queen bed in the bedroom and a sleeper-sofa in the front room. Loveable kitchen fulfills all your cooking needs.

    Rare in Sunset Beach, the house has a 20' by 20' outdoor space, grill and outdoor shower.

    The house has one reserved parking spot right in front of the house by the front gate. In addition, Sunset Beach has two rows of public parking running the entire mile of the town.

    Note: From October 2025 to November 2026 (with a break for Summer 2026), the Sunset Beach Sanitary District will be improving the sewer system under the greenbelt across from the cottage. This does not effect parking or beach access and is largely underground.

Very close to the beach, very tidy little house. Perfect for my kids and I. The kitchen is stocked with essentials, but the pans are worn so things stuck to the pan (even when using oil). Water gets very HOT very quickly. We loved the outside shower feature to clean up after the beach. Host left a list of nearby restaurants for convenience - very helpful for us!

This little cottage was perfect for me and my husband. The property had everything we needed with functional kitchen, comfortable bed and nice family room area. Best of all is we were walking on the beach in less than one minute!

Charming home stocked with necessities, clean and adorably decorated. Love not having the stress about following a list of laundry/cleaning duties upon checkout. Such a relief! Great Place

This VRBO listing is a must stay. This is a perfect place for 2 people. It is a friendly neighborhood, ton of walkable restaurants, nice walking trail down the street that follows the beach and extremely quick beach access right out the front door. Would recommend to everyone!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here. The only thing we felt a little disappointed with is the pull out couch is covered due to the arms being broken so my child wasn’t able to use the bed function. Other then that, the house exceeded our expectations, so close to the beach, great neighborhood, and amazing patio.

All went great. My only complaint is the mattress was very soft and felt like a canyon in the middle. Didn’t sleep well at all, but the daughter enjoyed sleeping on the couch other than that the place was very clean very cute and nice.

Great Little Beach House with immediate access to the beach!

This place was great! We are DEFINITELY coming back time and time again. We often stay at beach properties, but this one is definitely one of our favorites now! Convenience everywhere from easy access to the beach, convenient store and grocery stores are only about an 8 minute drive away!
