Podstine Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Best place to stay in Hvar if you want a true no hassle beach holiday. Private beach access, lots of chairs, and complimentary beach towels. The water is crystal clear so I recommend bringing googles and you can see lots of fish! Resort was quiet, mostly couples and families. AC worked great, the room was clean and amenities were great. 10/10 worth the money. The only complaint would be that it is a far walk to the city centre, but we knew that when we booked and spent most of the time lounging around the resort."
Amfora Hvar Grand Beach Resort

"The room and entire hotel was very clean. Great location with convenient walking path right into town. Delicious breakfast included. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Pool was awesome especially the swim up bar. The only reason for the “good” review and not excellent is because our room location was very difficult to navigate to. We had to go up an elevator, down the stairs to another tiny elevator and then down another flight of stairs! It was bizarre and kind of frustrating after a day of walking in the heat. Other than that, our trip was excellent and we were very sad to leave."
Valamar Amicor Resort

"We had an absolutely fantastic family stay at Valamar Amicor Resort in Hvar and would highly recommend it, especially for families with children. The resort is beautifully maintained, with a real focus on sustainability and being eco-friendly. We loved that they grow a lot of the food served at the resort, it made the whole experience feel fresh, thoughtful, and connected to the surroundings. For the kids, the water slide and inflatable water playground were a huge hit and definitely one of the highlights of the stay! There was plenty to keep them entertained, which made it just as relaxing and enjoyable for us. The location is also excellent. The beautiful town of Stari Grad is only around a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. We also tried the taxi boat across, which the girls absolutely loved and made getting into town part of the adventure. Hvar Old Town is only about 30 minutes away by car, so it’s very easy to explore more of the island. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Free parking at the resort was another nice bonus. We only spent two days at Amicor, but we could easily have stayed for a full week. A wonderful, family-friendly resort in a beautiful part of Hvar, we would definitely come back and recommend it without hesitation!"

"Clean hotel room, comfortable beds, and very good air conditioning. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We also made a new friend in Predrag, the hotel’s all-round handyman! He was funny, helpful, service-minded, and always ready to assist. The breakfast was okay, although we felt that the hot food contained far too much oil and/or water. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel."

"This place is stunning. Don’t be confused by the older photos — the resort was recently renovated and reopened in August 2026. It’s not just the natural beauty, but the classy, tasteful decor, the beautiful rooms and the restaurants. This place is a jewel. The staff is another highlight. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. This is easily one of my new favorite places. Since they just reopened, some processes and facilities are still being fine-tuned. At times the restaurant menus weren’t fully available, but nothing that could overshadow the friendliness of the staff and the beauty and class of the place."
