Susan our host was warm and welcoming, the property was beautiful and our room was really nice. The breakfast was gorgeous! We come to Ibstock to visit our friends for their Christmas party every year and this was the first time we'd chosen to find somewhere else to stay. Needless to say, we'll be making a stay at The Post House part of our annual tradition and we're looking forward to staying again next year!

Highly recommended

Had a 2 night stay for our visit to Donington Park for the BTCC. The Post House is of a high standard with clean comfortable rooms. The breakfast is really good and we were pleased to have secure on site parking. Highly recommended.

Lovely host and superb breakfast. If you are happy to awakened at 6am by the post arriving this is a lovely B&B. the post office below means a lot of noise from 6 onwards.

Susan is an excellent host. Unobtrusive, but there when needed and nothing is too much trouble. She also provides an excellent and varied breakfast. Although in the middle of the village, the property is private and secure. Our room was comfortable and lacked nothing. It was also warm as the temperature dropped below freezing outside. Thoroughly recommended.

We were attending a family event in nearby Coalville and wanted somewhere convenient. The Post House was a genuine oasis in Ibstock, a very nice, friendly secure property offering an old-fashioned excellence of service. Our room was comfortable, the welcome from the owner Susan was perfect. Breakfast was freshly prepared and a standard well above that provided by the usual motel chains. We will certainly look to stay again for other famly occasions.

A very pleasant place to stay

Were greated by owners who were both lovely & helpful. Booked in & shown to the room, shown where everything was. Given keys so we could go out if we wanted. Plenty of information in the room regarding places to eat locally. There were takeaways in Ibstock you could use and take back to the post house & eat in dining room. There was also a guest lounge. Breakfast was great, cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, poached eggs on toast, porrage, juice, tea, coffee, a very wide selection only a few items that needed pre-ordering the night before. Everything cooked to order. Although we only stayed one night on way back from York we loved staying here.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay, very clean and well appointed room with all the amenities you need. Nice large shower in bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Good parking available on site , you are given a button on your keys to open the security gate so you can come and go. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice for everybody. Overall an excellent place , you can book with confidence.
