The owners are very welcoming , nothing to much trouble , a little walk into town, but it’s a beautiful walk near the river or choose the other route , we choose the lovely walk by the river a glorious view. A lovely comfortable warm sleep and a lovely breakfast , a lot to choose from on the continental then a cooked breakfast . Very welcoming

Typisch britisches Bed&Breakfast in Familienhand!

Das Bed & Breakfast ist so typisch britisch wie es nur sein kann. Das Familienzimmer - in dem wir zu viert mit unseren beiden Kindern gewohnt haben - reichte vom Platz gerade aus, das Bad war typisch britisch - aber wer diese Art von Reisen gewohnt ist, findet sich sehr gut zurecht. Der Landlord war sehr freundlich und hat ein super Frühstück - full English - auf Wunsch zubereitet und stand auch bei sonstigen Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite

Our hosts Max and Angie made this a great stay. We felt like we were home, breakfast was amazing and decor of house was very eclectic . Our room was small not much room other than beds, but bath was clean. Angie even provided taxi service for us with drive to downtown, although it can be walked. Local area is full of things to do.

we booked a twin room with ensuite but on arrival we were given a double room with bathroom outside the room. no adjustment was made to our fee. Also the room had no wardrobe for our clothing.

Ottima posizione a due passi dal centro città

Bed and breakfast all'inglese a conduzione familiare. Ottima ospitalità e cordialità da parte dei proprietari. La camera al primo piano era abbastanza confortevole. Unica pecca il bagno fuori dalla stanza. Prezzo troppo alto rispetto alla qualità della struttura.

Tanto gentile Lui quanto grezza Lei...

Il mio ragazzo ed io abbiamo soggiornato in questo B&B per 3 notti. Siamo stati accolti da un Signore gentilissimo che ci ha subito accompagnato in stanza. Siamo rimasti però delusi appena entrati in camera: molto piccola (venduta come junior Suite) e soprattutto piena di polvere. Per non parlare del buffet della sala colazione: niente marmellate, come frutta solo banane fresche, pochissima scelta di affettati, formaggi e cereali e yogurt scaduti da mesi. Inoltre, appeso ad una parete c'era una stampa raffigurante una tazza con cappuccino e le istruzioni in inglese per come farlo. Appena seduti a tavola la signora che serviva la colazione viene a chiederci se gradiamo the o caffè e abbiamo provato a chiederle un cappuccino e la risposta è stata: "qui non siamo in Italia e se gradite un cappuccino dovevate prenotare in un albergo a 5 stelle!!".

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Gute Unterkunft mit sehr großem komfortablen Zimmer und bequemen Bett. Nette Eigentümer und gutes Frühstück! Würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Nice place and comfortable big room. Very friendly hosts and good breakfast! Would come again anytime!

The man is friendly but his wife is rude.

The place itself is nice enough. Nice sized room, reasonably comfortable (though gets really cold during the off season because they only run the heaters from 7pm-10pm and 7am-10am. Breakfast is just cereal and cold toast unless you pay extra. The man is a nice enough fellow and seems genuinely interested in trying to make your stay a good one but his wife is very rude. I had no warning that they didn't accept credit cards and so on our check out day I had to go the bank and take an advance on my credit card to pay. The man was apologetic and even offered to drive me to the bank but his wife called out from the other room saying "No! Don't apologize to HIM. You told him on the phone no credit cards. He knew!" when in actuality the conversation we had only established to me that they couldn't process a non-present credit card (we'd discussed me giving him a credit card number over the phone to charge to). All in all, the woman's attitude during our stay left us with an unpleasant taste in our mouth and put a damper on that leg of our trip.

Rooms are not as advertised. Avoid this hotel.

Terrible. Room was advertised as having an en suite bathroom, however, the bathroom was actually across the hall in the foyer. Soaps provided were half empty bottles left by previous guests. Next morning when we went to take a showers, we each had to wait as other guests and/or family members used the bathroom that was meant to be ours. Having to wait out turn to use a bathroom that was meant to be ours alone was very annoying. closets were filled with the owner's wife's old clothes. Seems room is used by owners when guests aren't booked into it. Breakfast was very embarrassing for us. It was my understanding that breakfast was included and we were even asked what time we would like our breakfast ready the night before. When we went into the dining room the following morning we were told by the owner's wife that we were not entitled to a cooked breakfast. We could only have the juice and cereal on the bar and then, in front of the other guests eating, were scolded and asked, "how can you expect us to provide you breakfast when you got the room for so cheap?" We were told that because we paid a "hostel price" we should've known breakfast wouldn't be included. I was mortified and my friend was really embarrassed. I declined their breakfast and simply left the hotel. Another guest even commented to me how inappropriately we were treated.

Give it a chance

Budget B&B run by a lovely couple. We were in room 2 which doesnt have an ensuite but our private bathroom is just across the hallway which is not a problem. Heating was excellent and the hotel was nice and quiet. Its a bit out of town but the price easily makes up for that. Only criticism is that the breakfast wasn't very fresh...breads appeared stale and the orange juice was very cheap. Probably the worst continental breakfast we've ever had. The driveway is narrow but we have a small car so it was not a problem, although I'm not sure I'd say the same after a few beers!

Clean and comfortable B&B in Inverness

We had a nice one-night stay at the Glasdair bed and breakfast (with none of the problems some people have mentioned in earlier reviews) The owners were lovely and could not have been friendlier. The room we stayed in was very small but spotlessly clean with a nice bathroom and tea-and-coffee making facilities. A nice continental breakfast was served the next morning and we were asked if we wanted eggs or bacon. We stayed with a baby and the owners were very baby friendly. The property is approximately a 15-minute walk from the centre of Inverness, which is easily accessible by car. Our only issue (which is small) was that we did not stay in the room we had booked, but were given another much smaller room without explanation. ** There is car parking provided at the rear of the property, but as many other reviews have stated it is very very narrow. I would strongly recommend parking in the little street opposite the B&B (Island Bank) - there is free parking there all day and plenty of space. One of the home owners there apparently doesn't like anyone parking in the street and says it is not allowed but that is categorically incorrect. We all parked there fine for the entire stay **

Hyggeligt og god service

Fint ophold. Rigtig søde ejere.. Dog MEGET svært at komme ind på deres parkeringsplads. Det var meget snævert. Ca. 15-20 min gang til centrum. Morgenmaden var lidt tam. Toastbrød + cornflakes osv. "Varm" morgenmad kostede 5 pund ekstra.

Great value for money

We really enjoyed our stay in this small bed and breakfast. Nice comfortable room with en-suite bathroom. Friendly staff, big breakfast.

Pleasant

A pleasant stay, the room was immaculately clean, staff were friendly. Car parking & wifi avail. En-suite was across the hallway but thankfully not shared with other guests

Asked an paid 4 ensuite with kingsize bed ended up with small room with double bed an bathroom was across fae room, quite rushed at breakfast as was told number of times it finished at 8.45. No food aloud in rooms so had 2 sit in there living space an eat, after was told could sit in dining room

Vi var i Scotland for at jage nogle af dagene. Det betyder at vi skulle tidligt op nogle dage. Her fik vi speciel service med at få smurt sandwich og lavet kaffe til kl. 4.30. Det var en super god service. Morgenmaden var varieret og super god. Værtsparret var hyggelig og meget levende. :-)

Banlieue d'Inverness

Accueil charmant et plein d'attentions. Les chambres par contre sont petites, la salle de bain bien que personnelle est sur le palier. Les finitions sont à revoir.... Mais le tout est très propre. Attention sauf pour les grands marcheurs, voiture conseillée !

Found this little nice place for our short stay in Inverness. Got a beautiful room with a great view, can't complain about that. One of the people from the staff was rude the whole stay for some reason (everyone else was great) and the bathroom had no lock, anyone could've entered whenever they felt like and of course it did happen. Not something you want to go through...I think they can afford a lock on the bathroom door, it's really not that expensive. The price was good though and the location is close to centre and the river :)

Very comfortable

Ideally located on the edge of Inverness, this beautiful property was exactly what we needed for the first night after a 10 hour drive to Scotland. The beds have memory foam mattresses which give an amazing nights sleep. The room had everything you needed for a stop over and was a 20 minute walk into the center of the city, the walk itself is along the rivers edge and has a lovely river pathway. The hosts were very welcoming and met us with enthusiasm at the door. The breakfast was excellent and this hotel is highly recommended.
