very good place to stay, its cool, George is very helpful in any sense. The hotel is at the top of a hill, so lots of walking from the ferry, but you can take a bus. also from the hotel, you can walk for 5-10 minutes to take the bus for 2 euros that takes you literally to the main place.

I had an excellent stay at The Windmills in Ios. The location is perfect and within walking distance of Chora, making it easy to explore the town and access everything on foot. The room itself was consistently clean, quiet, and spacious, with a very reasonable price for the quality offered. It was always well-maintained, which made coming back after a day out feel relaxing and comfortable. The highlight of my stay, however, was the manager, George. He was incredibly welcoming and approachable, always ready to provide information about the area and helpful tips for getting around. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, checking in regularly without ever being intrusive. His hospitality truly elevated the experience and made the stay memorable. I would highly recommend The Windmills to anyone visiting Ios.

Great stay

This hotel is great! Very close to the city centre and a 20 minute walk to Mylopotas beach. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The owner is super nice and welcoming. Definitely coming back here!

Great host, clean hotel in main town

My sister and i traveled to Ios alone for 5 days and felt very safe at the Windmills. Our host Pavlos was very nice! He did not hesitate to strike up conversation or help us with directions in Ios. He also knows the best restaurants in town to ask him for recommendations! The hotel is right on the outskirts of the main town Chora so you dont hear the bar crowd at night but everything is in walking distance. Would stay here again!

The hotel is well located, confortable, clean and safe, but the best about Windmills is Pavlos, the owner, who is amazingly nice and welcoming, and helps his guests having a true and warmfull experience of the island and the nice people of Ios.

Good diversion

The evaluation is on Village Twins, a nearby hotel where we were diverted by our host. The hotel is ok. Rooms are small but clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The manager did not accept credit cards.

Feels like home. Great rooms and Fantastic Host.

Great hotel top location in the middle of all the hot spots but also quiet at all times. Can easily say this hotel has a warm feel to it the host Pavlos is a gentleman will make you feel at home from the second you walk in. Highly reccomend this hotel to all travellers of all ages.

Small hotel in the perfect spot

We had a great experience at Pavlos hotel, the owner was welcoming and friendly. The place has everything you need and the wifi is actually super fast. Many places advertise wifi but it will suck, so I was grateful for that. The rooms were clean and cozy. There was a mini fridge as well. 2 minute walk from all the bars, busses, shopping and restaurants. But far enough from them that you don't hear anything at night.

Rummet var bra. Läget var väldigt bra och personalen trevlig. Tar ca. 3 minuter att gå till stadens kärna och ca. 15 minuter att gå till den närmsta stranden Mylopotas (finns även buss).

Great location and service

The hotel is situated in the best location! Quite close the the beach (about 15min walk) and right in the centre of town. The hotel manager was great and he gave us great service. The rooms are really small but for one night it was ok. They were super clean though and well air conditioned . Overall we had a good experience .

A great place to stay

To get there with luggage I would recommend taking a taxi, but otherwise we had no problem walking there and back from the center. There is also a bus that takes you close to the hotel if needed. Great staff, very helpful and nice. Allowed us to store our luggage in the basement even after we checked out. Rooms were clean, AC worked, and also wifi was good. I would recommend it.

Great hotel at the edge of the main town, Xora (Ios town). Easy walk to all the major clubs in town and a 15 minute walk from a large popular beach.

Perfect stay

The guy who owns it is super friendly and understanding, as is the receptionist. The hotel is in great condition; clean, good air-conditioning and superb wifi. The rooms are nice and spacious, comfortable beds, nice private bathrooms and the wifi works perfectly in them. The location is really good; it's surroundings are quiet but it is really close to the centre and to lots of bars, shops, and a short walk to the beautiful lookout in Ios. I would definitely stay here again.
