"Upon our arrival, an employee greeted us and helped with luggage. The public area was elegant and displayed so many beautiful artwork and antiques. Being at the top of a hill and by the ocean/bay, the view was gorgeous especially during cherry blossom season. "Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The onsens are an additional nice touch. The downside is how far it is from the downtown area, but the shuttle makes that a non issue, also the bus drops you off right at the door. A convenience store nearby is also good if you need late night food."

"Staff was helpful, especially patient with my language barrier. The room was clean except for behind the tv console. The building is pretty old but in good repair. Not close to stores or restaurants, but is close to the beach visible from the balcony outside my room. They have arcade games for children and ping pong for older ones. Very comfortable, large room with both western and Japanese options for sleeping."

"The room is spacious and clean, with many designs dedicated for the ease of stay which we like a lot. Breakfast wise is good selection with theme of seafood in the Toba region. Onsen is the best part of this stay as this might be the only region you may find the pearl theme onsen with many good quality skin products free for use. Overall a very satisfying stay here, will definitely come back again next time!"

"The staff have been very friendly and helpful both times I’ve stayed, the beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever had at a hotel, and the location is lovely. It’s better to bring food with you as there is not much to eat around if you don’t have a car, and the taxi to/from Ugata station is about 2000 yen. The pool is a perfect depth for small children. Love the old fashioned bathtub but children and the elderly might need some help getting in and out. We will definitely be coming back!"

"Beautiful and well maintained property, I really felt like I was in some Mediterranean country and not Japan. We had the course dinner at their French restaurant which was excellent, Michelin Star quality. It’s a bit tricky to get to but if you have a car this is a great place spend a few days and decompress. "
