Fabulous 2 Bedroom/2 Bath A-frame Retreat - The Coolest Place On Whidbey Island!

"We booked a last-minute Sunday-to-Monday getaway and stumbled upon this gem of an A-frame. Tucked away on the southern part of the island, it is the perfect sweet spot. Nicely quite.Before we even arrived, the host saved the day! After a classic "we think we know where we're going" blunder left us lost with zero cell service, we finally found a signal and called the owner. She was an absolute angel, guiding us directly to the front door. (Pro-tip: don't save the wrong link like we did! Once we hopped on the cabin's great Wi-Fi, everything was seamless). Though it’s technically in a small neighborhood, it is beautifully secluded by a dense wall of trees, giving you that magical, deep-in-the-woods feel without any of the inconvenience.The interior design is stunning! If this were my own island retreat, I wouldn't change a thing. It effortlessly blends modern luxury with a hip, retro cabin aesthetic. Best of all? It was immaculately clean. The downstairs bathroom feels brand new and ultra-modern, boasting a fantastic shower and every amenity you could need. Just bring your personal items! The Kitchen: Fully stocked and ready for anything. You could easily whip up a gourmet feast here. The Living Space: Super chic and cozy, complete with a beautifully stocked wood stove and a high-quality Bluetooth speaker.un, comfy bunks downstairs and a dreamy loft upstairs with plenty of room. Also a nice deck which we ate every meal on. Thank you!"

"This was a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful, the view is gorgeous, and everything was impeccably clean. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our visit.What really set this property apart was the thoughtfulness behind it. Everywhere I turned, I found another detail that made me think, “They’ve thought of everything.” From the amenities to the comfort of the space, it was clear that the hosts had carefully considered what would make their guests feel welcome and at home.The result was a stay that felt both relaxing and effortless. We spent our days enjoying the beautiful surroundings and our evenings appreciating a home that was as comfortable as it was charming. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay on Whidbey Island."

"My husband and I stayed here as part of an impromptu long weekend with our three year old pup. The location is wonderful. It is close to Clinton and Langley and most importantly Double Bluff Beach, which our dog adores. The house was exactly as pictured and we enjoyed a relaxing stay. We would be happy to stay here again."

"Comfortable and quiet, Birdsong Retreat offers a relaxing escape. We enjoyed seeing deer, sleeping in, and wandering the grounds with binoculars to note the local birds. We especially appreciated a big tub in the master bathroom, warm and comfy beds, and furniture on the front porch and back deck to invite us outside. If you haven't been to a quiet place in a long time, come here and feel yourself breathing more deeply and sleeping more soundly than you have in ages. Highly recommended!"

"The house is a great little beach cottage. The beds are very comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, the fenced front yard is great for small dogs (as long as they aren't jumpers, as the fence is only 2 ft tall), and the house is clean. We would definitely stay here again."

"Overall this location on Whibey Island on the lake is wonderful. The house itself has a lot to offer but was not kept up super well. It’s beyond being old. It’s a-shame because for instance the view is amazing and has multiple places to enjoy the views from but the furniture for the most part is in disrepair or simply covered in bird poop. Hard to want to sit in it. Game room was awesome! Large TV we could not get to connect to the spotty WiFi so of that’s what you need this isn’t the place potentially. We did not care too much and the kids ended up watching a movie on a iPad… would have been better on the TV but couldn’t get it figured out. All and all if you are very finicky, this probably isn’t the house for you. It is a large house that fits multiple families and we had a great time, but there are definite compromises that need to be made."

"The kitchen was perfect. It had everything we needed for cooking, grilling and making coffee. The views from the kitchen and the dining room are awesome. The deck has a beautiful view.You can sit there and have coffee or drinks and just enjoy all those beautiful plants and flowers. All of the rooms were nice and comfortable.The beds were great , we all agreed we slept great. I loved the washroom I was able to do my laundry and not have to bring back dirty. We were able to go visit arboretum, beaches, Mount Baker and other places and come back to an awesome home. My sons loved the place so much they were asking when can we come back, lol. The host was great at replying to our questions."
