Great pools and clean rooms

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the pool area—there are three pools to enjoy, plus a small park for the kids and some beautiful views. We had a few minor issues during our stay, but they were addressed quickly and professionally. One thing to note: if the weather isn’t great, there aren’t many indoor activities for kids, so keep that in mind if you're traveling during the off-season. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay!

The hotel and history is super cool. The room was clean and in good condition. Lots of rooms with breath taking views and can accommodate larger familly. I appreciate the choice of size rooms. The place is fill with history. The outside could use a bit more maintenance but the place is full of different area that are worth exploring.

Neat place to stay.

The hotel is a bit dated, but staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was small. Breakfast could have been better for the $10. charged. Mostly cereals and coffee and toast. The location did not disappoint. We had dinner at Corylus restaurant about 2 km from hotel, good. Shower water was strong.

Although advertised, there was no beach access; in fact, there wasn't a beach at all. I chose the hotel because I wanted to be on the beach!

Don't trust the picture you see on the website !

Not that clean. Building and rooms need a lot of love... can hear neighbours even in the "luxury room", water of one of the swimming pool was greenish... Very expensive for what it was ! Breakfast not included and haven't tried it. Cleaners were very nice. Lady at reception ok.

We didn’t land up staying here because they offered us three different rooms that didn’t resemble the rooms in the pictures posted. In one of the rooms the beds hadn’t even been made. Clearly they hadn’t cleaned the room. Terrible terrible place.

Unexpected extras

I chose deliberately a pet friendly property but when I arrived I had to be upgraded to another room to accommodate my small non-shedding dog plus a pet fee increasing the expected $120 to almost double that. Hotels.com should ensure that when a customer chooses the "pet friendly" option, that the quoted price reflects this with no further unexpected costs. Enough people now travel with pets that this is not out of the ordinary.

There was no air conditioning and the room was extremely hot and unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool to refresh ourselves as it closed at 6:00pm.
