The Timber Garden Cottage
This entire stunning home is waiting for you! It has classic timber frame construction boasting large beautiful wood beams, lots of light, and a rustic feel. Both spacious and cozy at the same time!
This unique converted space is the former home of a plant nursery and my bakery! It was converted to a year round home a few years ago, so its beautiful with a few quirks... like two ovens, exit signs, and lots of baking supplies! This is a peaceful space that has been loved and thoughtfully curated. I hope you enjoy!
All parts of the home will be available to you during your stay, except for the storage rooms …which are less than exciting anyway!
Located centrally to all things Ithaca, 7-10 mins drive to downtown, 15 mins to both Cornell and Ithaca College, and a few miles to Taughannock State Park, the beginning of the Cayuga Wine trail, and Trumansburg. This cottage puts you close to all things Ithaca!

Very nice place and we enjoyed our stay! Close to all the things we wanted to see and do! We did a lot in Ithaca and the west side of Cayuga Lake and the east side of Seneca Lake. Very cozy house and I loved all the plants! Thank you! My only complaint is- the lighting in the bathroom is not good at all.
This cottage was perfect for our stay. Close to downtown and waterfalls. It had every accommodation we needed. Super pleased and would definitely come back!
This was acquaint, cute and comfortable house! It was far enough out of Ithaca for peace and quiet yet very convenient to get to attractions and get necessary items. We would stay there again!

We loved our stay at the Timber Garden Cottage
It was close enough to downtown but too close. We loved being in the quiet outside of the downtown but loved we could fry to it easily. We will absolutely rent again when we go up to see our student.
We had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully crafted and spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor patio next to the gardens with a glass of wine. The location is perfect - close to downtown Ithaca, but far enough away that you don't know its there. Close to the lake and many wineries and breweries. We had a nice time at Bet the Farm Winery, which is just a skip down the side road. We also enjoyed Knapp Winery, Goose Watch Winery, Liquid State Brewery, Buttermilk Falls and Taghaunick Falls. We hope to come back again!
My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary in Ithaca and this home was just perfect! Great spot located about 12 minutes from the downtown and only 5 minutes from (in our opinion) an absolute must see, Taughannock Falls State Park. Very unique interior with awesome natural lighting. The host keeps this home clean with great smelling soap (yes we took a picture of it!)…overall 10/10 experience and we would highly recommend. Only thing to note is that it is right off the side of a road so if you are sensitive to noise while sleeping this is something to consider. This did not bother us but just something to note!
Spent 4 wonderful nights in the Timber Garden Cottage. Audra communicated all I needed to know before I arrived. When I got there she had a vase of sunflowers waiting for me! The cottage is tastefully decorated & is equipped with everything you could possibly need. I enjoyed the natural beauty of the wooden beams, the long table, the desk, the countertop, the stairs, the floor of the loft & its dresser. I appreciated the living plants, the spectacular view of sunrise, & the super convenient location. Ithaca is minutes away. You will not be. disappointed with this rental, I hope to return.
Great July 4th weekend stay at The Timber Garden Cottag
My wife & I loved our stay at Timber Garden Cottage. A unique, wood beam chalet type 2 story home, filled with charm, books, games, and kitchen utensils. Very comfortable bed upstairs. It was hot outside but the 2 A/C units downstairs did a good job. We had small breakfasts at the lovely Timber Garden Cottage, ate most other meals at a friends nearby lakefront home on Cayuga Lake. Loved seeing the wineries & breweries on scenic Seneca Lake, and loved hiking the breathtaking Robert Treman State Park, highly recommend. It's hard to think of anything to recommend as an upgrade for Audra's Timber Garden Cottage. Possibly a brigher light in the bathroom, we found it a bit dark. Also, we had forgotten there was no dishwasher, we wish we had remembered to bring plastic plates, glasses, etc. No big deal, as we didn't cook big meals. Another big plus, TV worked well , with lost of options. Garden out the back door smelled so nice ! The lock box worked well and was easy, not always the case with our other VRBO &AB&B experiences. Audra was easy to communicate with and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at the Timber Garden Cottage. Its location is perfect--not right in the downtown area, but conveniently close. It was also a good base for driving out to several area waterfalls. The living area is laid out as an "L" and was spacious with super-comfortable couches. There was a pretty garden with a couple of Adirondack chairs to enjoy a drink outdoors. The beds and bedding were high-quality and comfortable. We didn't cook while we were there, but coffee, tea, sugar, ice, a few welcome snacks, and some miscellaneous staples left by other tenants were there on arrival, and I was envious of the professional gas stove, left over from this property's former identity as the Wild Flour Baked Goods company. Be prepared to use a French press if you are a coffee drinker; if you aren't, bring a small coffeemaker with you! The AC is window mounted and supplemented by fans, but even with a loft and a heat warning, the house stayed comfortably cool. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return during high flow time in the spring or early summer.
We enjoyed our stay. Great location. The cottage is exactly as described, very charming.
The mattress and linens are high quality and comfy. Probably the nicest most contemporary bathroom we've had in a private rental. Audra provided full sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and toilet paper. More generous than a high end hotel.
Plenty of glassware, dishes etc. and all very clean. Audra was nice enough to leave some healthy snacks in the counter bowl to welcome us.
If I had to leave one constructive critique - some of the pots/cookware were grimy. Probably due to not being used in a while or whomever did use last did a rush job washing. Easily remedied and small issue in the scheme of things. It gave me a great excuse not to cook much :)
Plenty of cleaning supplies were provided so we could clean up throughout our week's stay, if needed.
Overall, cozy and enjoyable. We will be back.
Fairy-Tale cottage, tastefully decorated inside and out, close to Ithaca and Cornell University. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Host was also lovely and super-responsive.
This property is located outside of Ithaca for a quieter vibe yet within a 5-10 minute drive from Cayuga Lake and downtown.
It was easy to navigate, great communication, and perfect for a girls getaway weekend!
Beautiful property, very easy checkin and the communication with the owner was great. Very close to town but far enough out where there isn’t a lot of commotion.
We loved staying at the Timber Garden Cottage. It's beautiful and just a few minutes' drive from Ithaca. Communication with the host was fantastic. We hope to come back soon. : )
We enjoyed our stay at Timber Garden Cottage. It was the perfect location for all the sightseeing we wanted to do, including Buttermilk Falls State Park, Robert H. Treman State Park, Taughannok State Park, the Sheldrake Winery, and the Fingerlakes Cider House. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated, cute, clean and comfortable!
