Convenient Location & Great Staff, But Room for Improvement
I recently stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites near Jacksonville Airport with my family. The location is super convenient—surrounded by other hotels and restaurants, and everything was within walking distance, which made things easy with small kids in tow.
We booked through Expedia, which ended up being a bit pricey compared to what my mom paid for the same dates—her rate was about $200 less. When I asked the front desk if anything could be adjusted, I was told nothing could be done since the booking was made through a third party, which was a bit frustrating.
When we arrived, the first room we were given was a bit rough: the couch had noticeable stains, and one of the queen beds had the mattress and box spring directly on the floor. Definitely not ideal for a family. However, the front desk staff was very responsive and immediately moved us to a much better room that was more in line with what we expected.
Despite the rocky start, we ended up enjoying our stay. The staff was truly pleasant and respectful throughout. If you’re looking for a convenient place near the airport with helpful service, this is a solid option—just double-check your booking rates!
