Lovely stay. Simple but adequate villa, a bit dark on porch and inside. Pool areas are lovely and even at height of season the resort was quiet and peaceful.

Front desk staff was helpful with checkin and sharing local tips. Property was clean. Apartment was perfect for sleeping after a day at the beach or sightseeing. Just a five minute walk to the beach.

The common are in the unit is not air conditioned couldnā€™t find any silverware in the kitchen gave up on planning to fix meals. Would have been better is there was over head fans the fan they did help didn't help staff was wonderful and the rooms did have air and were cool

- Amenities (i.e., pools) were great. Keep in mind it is a family resort so kids will be splashing around in the pools :) - Room views - we specifically upgraded to the superior option as the pictures show a higher floor unit with a balcony overlooking nature. We were placed in an identical unit, however on the first floor with no view. The patio furniture was pretty dirty so we didnā€™t want to sit on it. - Living area: features one uncomfortable outdoor couch, and a television. - Kitchen: Had most materials, except cutlery. - Bedrooms: were okay. the beds did not feel clean to sleep in. Unit overall: did not feel clean, welcoming, or good to stay in. It was our least favourite part of our trip. There was a strong urine smell throughout the duration of our stay - we even asked to switch rooms as it was making us sick. They denied our request to switch units and we remained sick for the duration of the trip. Cleaning Service: Your unit is ā€œcleanedā€ once every three days. In our experience, no one cleaned the unit. Our beds remained unchanged. However we did recieve a fresh set of towels.

We were in the smallest room type for two at the back of the property. While it had the amenities as described, the room is very small even for two. The living room wall is louvered, so no A/C and easy for bugs to enter. We bought a citronella candle to help with this, but that was like blowing into the wind. The A/C is only in the bedroom, which is windowless. The beds are not comfortable as they easily split apart and the single mattresses slips easily off the frame. The bathroom sink was plugged and needed attention and the towels were very small. The pools were nice however work began on one with only a days notice. This forced all guests to the family pool if they didnā€™t want to listen to jackhammering. The staff are polite but I wouldnā€™t recommend this property as I clearly didnā€™t anticipate that eco resort would feel more like econo resort.

I loved this 10-day stay at Moreno ecoResort. It's lovely and quiet, friendly and helpful staff, beautifully landscaped. Four great pools, walking paths and a nice mixture of apartments and villas. The meal plan was reasonably priced and the food was excellent, with plenty of options. If you want a relaxed authentic place to stay in CuraƧao, Morena is it.

Very friendly staff at front desk. Very pleasant and happy. Always there to help. The pool and grounds were very well maintained. The rooms were great, and the in-room kitchen was too. Very easy walk to beach.

The resort itself is very beautiful and the location is great, but it is an eco resort. So there is no blow dryer, no handsoap in the bathroom or kitchen, no hair conditioner, and ac only in the bedroom. The property is beautiful but come prepared.

Our family loved the pools and grounds. However our villa had ants in the bathrooms. Spiders. Lizards in the kitchen living under the microwave. And many mosquitos which we did prepare for. We loved our terrace and comfy beds overall a great stay but be prepared to share your spaces

Apartment was not ā€˜surprisingly coolā€™ as stated on website. No air conditioning in living area/kitchen making that area quite warm and uncomfortable particularly when doors are closed at night, of which only half is doors, the rest is shutters allowing bugs and humidity in. Toilet room had a slight sewage odour to it, with an inefficient fan, and hence no air circulation. I donā€™t mind housekeeping every 3 days, but how about some decent size shower towels. And no soap provided in the toilet room to wash hands? Seems like another opportunity to be eco-friendly. No mention on website of accessibility issues, like steps within the restaurant. Stayed one night and left without any refunds.

The resort is good. The houses are clean and so are the utensils. The bathroom is not big, a little bit old, but not dirty. It has an eco friendly shower which I did not like. You have to press the button after 10 sec or so. Showering with an infant makes it very annoying. The toilet had a smell, but they fixed it. The wifi is weak. There was no wifi in the bedroom. The mattresses are not tied together so it dislocates. Food from the restaurant is terrible. The doors are from glass so you don't have any privacy and the balconies are side by side so you can hear your neighbors. Other than that, we liked the resort. Very friendly staff. They allowed us to check in early, because we landed early and were traveling with a baby. The hostess let us stay in the cottage while waiting for the house to be ready. They have free yoga classes. They offered to make us a reservation at a restaurant. They have a big parking lot. The swimming pool has an area for kids. The beach is on walking distance and also a supermarket. This resort will see me again.

Eco focus family resort for a dream vacation!

This was our dream vacation. CuraƧao is a Caribbean island paradise with white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and plenty of corals, tropical fish and sea turtles. Morena is located in the southern part of CuraƧao near Jan Thiel Bay. It's premise is that of an eco resort, minimizing waste, built on simple architecture, simple materials and solid construction, luxurious without being excessive, all in all tasteful. the good: -we rented a 3-bedroom individual cabin, with comfortable beds in the sleeping rooms, a complete kitchen, and a spacious terrace for our meals -resort organization was top notch with friendly, attentive and diligent staff who attended to our (many) requests, great check-in/out experience -breakfast and restaurant had all essentials with great food preparation and quality, even accomodating to our dietary restrictions -gorgeous pool areas and the pool water is kept crystal and clean -rent a car at competitive rates and drive all around CuraƧao (a must to visit the great beaches!) the bad: -Mosquito issue (which may be seasonal). We arrived at night and because the cabin lights were on, there were a ton of mosquitos inside. Thus mosquito bed nets and repellent are a must. You learn to always close the bedroom doors -Cabin design is such that the living room cannot be used at night because there isn't a simple mesh to block insects from following the light inside at night the ugly: -really nothing to complain about, this a resort that we do recommend!

Vi reiste dit i mars/april 2026 og hadde en fantastisk ferie pĆ„ Morena Resort. Vi er en familie pĆ„ fire og bodde i Villa Azul, som var romslig og dekket alle vĆ„re behov. Elsket terrassen. Lite innsyn, og mye fuglebesĆøk i trƦrne ved terrassen. Ellers ogsĆ„ iguaner og firfirsler rundt omkring, veldig stas for en dyreglad familie. Bassengene var midt i blinken, og det var alltid ledige solsenger og cabanaer der. Personalet har litt Ć„ gĆ„ pĆ„ pĆ„ smil, men servicen var god. Noen veldig hyggelige, mens noen fĆ„ var mindre imĆøtekommende. Hotellet ligger ca. 5-7 min gange fra Jan Thiel stranden. StrandomrĆ„det var sĆ„ fullt, at vi benyttet oss mest av hotellomrĆ„det og andre strender pĆ„ dagtid, men gikk ned dit for Ć„ spise noen kvelder. Anbefaler Zanzibar og Zest beach cafĆ©. Bestilte ofte lunsj og smoothies fra Mocca, hotellets lunsjplass. Fuego, hotellets restaurant pĆ„ kveldstid, er ogsĆ„ helt super! PĆ„ avreisedagen kan man kjĆøpe seg sen utsjekk, det fikk vi ikke pga. tilgjengelighet, men vi fikk lĆ„ne en annen ledig villa til Ć„ dusje og ordne oss fĆør avreise til flyplassen, noe vi satte stor pris pĆ„. Hotellet ordnet taxi til flyplassen (60 usd). Supermarked ligger 5 min gange unna, praktisk for oss som foretrakk frokost pĆ„ terrassen vĆ„r under oppholdet. Kan kjĆøpe frokost pĆ„ hotellet ogsĆ„ (20 usd per person/dag). Vi leide ogsĆ„ bil fra hotellet, veldig praktisk og god opplevelse. Slik fikk vi enkelt sett store deler av Ćøya. Morena anbefales for alle, og passer utmerket for barnefamilier!

We hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad. We misten wel een glijbaan(tje) bij het zwembad en een iets grotere speeltuin. Eten was goed en fijn dat je een bolderkar kan gebruiken/lenen welke ook mee kan naar het strand. Denk eraan om keukendoeken en handzeep mee te nemen, dat is niet aanwezig. De supermarkt in de straat is erg duur. Kamer was netjes schoon echter is het woongedeelte open met buiten, kijk dus niet vreemd op als je een kakkerlak of salamander voorbij ziet komen.

Veel last van mugjes zowel buiten als binnen in appartement. Werd niets tegen gedaan vanuit resort. Minimale aankleding appartement, zitbanken niet comfortabel, in verhouding teveel geld. Gehorig met geschakelde appartement. Personeel was niet proactief in contact / begroeten.
