A wonderful place to stay in Jefferson

The cottage is beautiful and well-kept. Elaine (the hostess) is very kind and has many stories to share about the area. The location is an easy walk to downtown Jefferson. Another very helpful thing is that recommendations on places to visit from past guests are displayed on the wall. Overall it was a great stay!

Wonderful stay’

Bessie’s Landing is always a respite from our hectic city life. The snacks she provides are substantial and we always love her delicious homemade blueberry bread. It is always exceptionally clean and we love her welcoming decor. The front porch, privacy, and goldfish pond is a definite plus!!

Most relaxed I've been in years

Three of us stayed two nights. I didn't want to leave! So peaceful and welcoming. Beautiful cottage, comfortable beds, beautifly decorated. Everything we could have needed or wanted was supplied. Elaine was a wonderful host. I hope I get an opportunity to stay there again.

Beautiful, Relaxing, Peaceful!

We enjoyed out visit immensely! We relaxed sitting on the front porch in such a peaceful setting. The cottage was cozy and wonderfully stocked with snacks, drinks and healthy breakfast choices. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Great dining and shopping in the Jefferson area which is all very close with very pleasant atmosphere.

The perfect spot

Bessie’s Landing is a charming, private cottage next to the “big house” where the owners live. Super friendly couple and welcoming. Such fun decor and attention to detail and comfort. We had everything we needed including a great location near all the many, many attractions in downtown but still quiet, private and relaxing at the cottage. It’s just the perfect spot for a visit to Jefferson!

Everything we could ask for!

Great stay, start to finish. Accomodations were very clean and comfy. Handy location. Lots to do in Jefferson. When we were at the rental, we relaxed on the porch, watched TV, and read through some of the information provided about the many things available in the area. Would definitely stay at Bessie's Landing again!

Excellent place to getaway!

Elaine and Ken have a darling property that is private, clean, and beautiful. The homemade blueberry bread that greeted us on arrival was delicious and a friendly touch. Also, there was an abundance of snacks and breakfast items which allowed us to enjoy our mornings without having to go out. I highly recommend Bessie's Landing to anyone wanting some quality R & R!

Great stay in Jefferson

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pots, pans and the refrigerator was stocked with food too! We really appreciated the eggs, beverages, and snacks. We'd definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Anniversary Trip

I rented this for my parents for their 62nd anniversary. They enjoyed the stocked refrigerator and kitchen. They appreciated the beautiful property that the house sits on. The host provides abundant reading material on the history of Jefferson as well as pamphlets of restaurants and things to do in and around town.

My new home away from home

I absolutely LOVED staying here! The property was gorgeous, the owners were AMAZING! The host went WAY above and beyond by stocking the fridge and freezer with drinks and food. A fresh loaf of bread was waiting for us.... really, truly could see myself coming down for a visit just to sit on the porch and visit with the hosts. This is definitely a treasure in Jefferson, and I would highly recommend staying here! What a great memory for me and my mom.

Cottage Comfort

Bessie’s Landing is a lovely, quaint cottage next to the owner’s historical home in Jefferson, Tx. The space has a queen bedroom and a smaller twin sleeping area. The cottage has an open kitchen and small living area, plus one full sized bath. The decor is exquisite and in keeping with the southern historic feel of the town. The owner keeps a fully stocked kitchen, along with the best filled refrigerator and cabinets of generously provided breakfast goods and snacks. The front porch seating area and koi pond add a peaceful atmosphere and retreat from hustle and bustle of daily life. This vacation rental truly is one of the best properties I have ever stayed in. The owner/host is very communicative and goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and happy.

Little Piece of Heaven

My mom and I have stayed here 2 times now. We just love everything about Bessie's Landing! Elaine goes above and beyond as the host. The place is super clean, lovely, cozy, charming, and so much more! There are yummy things in the refrigerator and freezer, as well as extra snacks provided. We love to sit on the porch and listen to the water feature with a Koi pond. It is so inviting! We look forward to returning soon!

5 star hospitality

This rental was so cute!!! Everything was exactly as described. It was clean and had easy access to everything you might want to do in Jefferson or the surrounding areas. I could not believe the amount of supplies the owners had stocked! I’ve never had a fridge full of milk, eggs, sodas, teas and frozen goodies just waiting for us. They also had snacks and a blueberry loaf too:-) It was very much appreciated, cause we had spent all day in Linden working in the heat trying to rehab an old cabin on my sister’s land. We were wiped out coming in and Bessie’s Landing was truly a blessing and cool refuge for us. The front porch was so inviting, and the big screen TV was perfect for movie nights. The beds were comfy enough…I think the master bed could use a mattress topper, but other than that, I think we were all able to get some rest. All in all, We had a great time exploring the area and learning more about Jefferson and plan on coming back for sure! Thank you Elaine for your hospitality!!

Bessie’s Landing stay……

Beautiful, cozy, very clean and tidy, scrumptious goodies( esp the blueberry bread!) and all one would want for a grand breakfast! Add the “Happy Anniversary” bottle of champagne and wow! Meeting host and hostess was a real treat too! Grand folks with great personalities to go with! Can’t express enough, but best VRBO we have yet experienced!!
