"Only updates done in the rooms since we stayed here 20 years ago was the bathroom. Carpet in room was from the 60’s and damp. Window ac was loud and shut off too often. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows . Dirty windows hurt the ocean view. Spacious lobby with plenty of seating. Rocking chairs on the deck to people watch the boardwalk was nice. Large pool with plenty of lounge chairs. Pool was super cold. Drinks at the pool were expensive and watered down. Breakfast was supposed to be available at hotel restaurant , but wasn’t open either day we stayed in September. Parking lot parking was tight. Front desk staff was always helpful. Room attendant took until afternoon to bring fresh wash rags that she was out of in the morning."

"The room was a great rate, I was impressed with our clean and spacious pet friendly room. We did like the location and how it was close to so much. Having a pet area, playground, arcade, gym, breakfast and pool were really great features. The tv had good choices for family during down time. The downfall were the other guests. 2 nights in a row people were throwing parties and blasting music at 3am so I got very little sleep. It smelled like pot and outside there were cigarettes and trash scattered around. Again this was due to the other guests and not the hotel. The hotel was great. I would stay there again. Maybe they can consider an espresso machine for the tired parents."

"The hotel had been renovated recently but the room I was in had not been updated. The bathroom had a very old sink and toilet and the towel holder was rusty. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked, and there was a mini-fridge. The lobby area was clean and the staff was very friendly. There is an extra fee to pay for their parking lot and it's a little difficult to navigate the lot but as parking in the area is very limited, it's necessary to deal with."

"Nice clean motel. Right by the boardwalk. Free parking on the property. Swimming pool. Very nice staff. Everything is walking distance. The rooms are small, as expected for a motel. So if you need more space, I would suggest requesting something bigger for a family. But overall, it was a good place for the amount I paid. I would definitely return to the Madison."
