Kākā Point Beach House

Modern, open planned beach house with a large, sunny and sheltered north facing deck.

Includes a heat pump, rinnai gas hot water, modern appliances, fixtures and Wifi!

The beach house has a very spacious modern bathroom as well as two good sized bedrooms, with each of the beds (1 x queen and 2 x singles) having new mattresses.

Sea views from the kitchen and deck. Right beside a children’s playground and backing onto a reserve. Short walk to the beach, ( patrolled in summer ) The Point Cafe and Bar and shop. Close to nature walk . Tennis court at the top of the street. Lots of native bird song !!!

Gateway to the Catlins, including the Nugget Point lighthouse and natural wonders including yellow-eyed penguins at Roaring Bay, sea lions at Surat Bay and the famous Purakanui Falls.
Special conditions:

MINIMUM 2 NIGHT STAY.

GUESTS NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN BED LINEN AND TOWELS.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely property. It's like an old fashioned kiwi bach brought fully up to date and made very comfortable with everything you could need (BYO linen). There is a great little pub/restaurant down the hill and Kaka Point is an excellent place to explore the Catlo s.

Autumn Break

Loved the house for our stay. Everything worked out well - the house was comfortable and clean and had almost everything we needed for our stay. Because we flew in linen was a problem but we were able to solve it.

Great getaway

Great wee place to use in Kaka Point. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living area. Tidy and warm, with Wifi, a google chrome etc. Playground next door was perfect for our small human.

A Catlins Cutie

This house was lovely and there were bush walks right behind it. It was the perfect location to explore the Caitlins. Nugget Point was a close drive and you can see yellow-eyed penguins.

Perfect bach for family of 4. We loved the location (close to beach, kids loved park and space to play cricket) and it was cosy with everything we needed. Actually nicer in person than in the photos. Thanks.

Everything you'd need

Perfect wee get-away spot for a moody Catlins weekend. The heatpump keeps the house nice and toasty. Beds were comfy. Only thing that we felt was missing was a microwave, but otherwise we were very happy.

Kaka Point break

We had a lovely time. Crib was everything that was one this site. Very clean and tidy. Location handy to beach and amenities. There was a boil drink notice for the area so the owner dropped off some water which we were grateful for.

This place is amazing, so well equipped and well located. Classic kiwi batches like this are pretty uncommon, even more rare and classic batches that are so reasonably priced. Simply magic.
