"My husband and I had a wonderful one week stay at Fairmont Orchid. The weather was perfect mid October, and this area is generally very dry. We were looking to unwind and only rented a car for one day to go visit Volcano village and the botanical gardens in Hilo. I do recommend a one and a half hour scenic drive to the beautiful gardens. Snorkeling in the hotel lagoon was an amazing experience. There are so many turtles there and different kinds of fish. The hotel provides snorkeling equipment free of charge. Do not forget water shoes for swimming. I saw many sea urchins. There were plenty of chaises in the shade as well as in the sun, and you could also rent covered chaises as well as private cabanas. The food is good but it’s better at the neighboring Mauna Lani for the same money. The shuttle will take you there free of charge. You can walk there along the beach. We enjoyed both resorts. Fairmont guests are welcome at Mauna Lani. Overall, great relaxing time."

"This is the first time I’ve stayed at a Hilton Village, it’s massive. The Tower is a long way from the parking lot, the boat wasn’t working but the tram was fine. We ended up walking instead, because the path is lovely. It has many pool areas and places just to sit and relax. Our Tower room was quite large and the balcony was perfect with a great view of the lagoon and the ocean. The only negative was it didn’t have another restaurants open every day, some of them closed too early. Sitting on the ocean in bar was what I could have done every day. They’re really losing out on a lot of income with a bar that stays open later. Otherwise, great trip and would stay there again."

"The facilities and access to other properties in the area was amazing. The staff was unbelievably attentive and available all day and evening to take care of any needs or questions that I had. Cannot thank the entire Hilton Waikoloa staff and management for an unforgettable holiday with them and we will be back FOR SURE in the future. Truly amazing experience with this company. Just a few of the names of staff who were absolutely incredible and attentive during our stay - Louette, Kamryn, David, Louisa, Jaz, Kahea, Caileen, George, and Tanya. Mahalo!!!!!!"
