Loon Lake Retreat - Located on Loon Lake, with additional guest cottage for rent as well

"This was our first time staying here. The property was nice and we loved the covered deck/porch with the view of the lake. The upstairs loft king size bedroom was nice and the bed was perfect for me. The little 1/2 bathroom was very convenient for me also. The bunkbed room was perfect for all the kids we had with us. The queen size bedroom was ok. Having the twin bed pull out from under the bed was nice but…the queen mattress was horrible!! I wish I had taken a picture but I never did. In my opinion it needs to completely be replaced. The room with the futon was nice as well. Having access to so many different types of kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, row boat was really amazing/nice. The kids had a great time using them. It was nice sitting on the dock all day and watching the sunset was wonderful. Unfortunately we did not swim due to so many leaches, no one really wanted to get in the water which was disappointing but you really can’t control that. My final thoughts are…it’s a very nice property, nice house, awesome so many boats were included and having air conditioning was great!!!We would definitely consider this property again, it was perfect for the amount of people we had but like I said…the queen mattress really needs replacing! Any and all communication with owners was also perfect.Thank you for a great stay!!Jackie"
Serendipity - waterfront cottage on Quimby Pond

"This was a nice house for my family to stay in while we explored the Rangeley area for a week. The big yard was well maintained and a great area for the kids to play. The firepit area was nice. It felt secluded, but still an easy drive to town, trails, and lakes. Quimby pond provided a lovely and serene view. We loved our downtime sitting on the deck and reading."

Cinnamon Bear House - A Nature Lovers Dream, Perfect for Ski Retreats

"The Cinnamon Bear house was a perfect getaway. The house was clean and comfortable, and just a half minute walk to the dock and firepit at the lake. Sitting on the dock relaxing in the afternoon was about as perfect as it can be. A little tricky launching a kayak, as I learned! But there were several ponds in the area with easy boat launches. Saw many deer along the road into Loon Lake. We had an excellent week."

"This cottage was very clean and well equipped. I really enjoyed the inside of the property which was newly renovated. There were plenty of places to sleep. The Internet works great if you were in the cabin, but not by the water. There is no cellular service although there is a hard line to call out in the event of an emergency. It’s a short walk down to the path to get to the water and you have to walk through the owners property. . Also, they had an animal repellent device which scared our dog and she wouldn’t go down to the water the rest of the week. The lake is beautiful tons of nature and very calm for kayaking and canoeing. Swimming is a bit difficult and there are leeches in the water but I guess that’s to be expected. The properties around the lake are very quaint and well kept. It was the most quiet, serene, and peaceful place. At night, you can go out on the dock and star gaze. Thank you for sharing your place with us. We enjoyed our week!"

Large private luxury home with outdoor hot tub

"The property had plenty of space, beds and kitchen/ dining things and area. It was nice they had a washer and dryer and dish washer that worked well. The owner was very communicative once we got direct communication with him. It was a good location for us. It does have a lot of coffee filters. We were excited about the hot tub but it never did actually work though they tried to fix it. Which we appreciate but still a big bummer. While it doesn’t say it has A/c it really doesn’t. Not something we southerners were expecting. It only has window fans. Thankfully, the weather was mild. We stayed mostly cool. The grill was ruined but my husband managed to clean it out and use it and it had plenty of propane.They provided a few towels that seem to need to be replaced soon and could use a lot more and more hand towels. If you are having a lot of people you might bring some more or ask them to provide more. The pillows and beds were disappointingly not very comfortable.This place has a lot o potential and they do seem to be attempting to put good effort but could use some updating and a lot more consideration for guests especially in large groups."
