This sparkling clean gem of a house was quiet and peaceful, but close enough to walk to the waterfront dining spots within five minutes or less. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to prepare home meals The pool situated behind the house provided a hidden private oasis for many afternoon relaxations. "The villa is in a lovely quiet location but close to the bars and restaurants and of course the beach. House was lovely and welcoming and had a welcome hamper with amazing olive oil that is produced by the olive trees in the garden. We had a very relaxing holiday but also had the chance to explore some of the island. "

"We spent 2 fantastic weeks in Wendy’s property outside Kalyves. Villa is stunning, photos do not do it justice. Communications with Wendy were answered quickly and the whole booking went smoothly and without any hitches.A car is a must, Kalyves is too far to walk to and return journey is up a steep hill. Also Crete itself is beautiful and requires further investigation so a car is essential.All in all a fantastic holiday topped off by a 5 star villa."

"The hotel is perfect for a beachy, chilled holiday if that’s what you enjoy. The small town has some shops etc which is good and Chania is only a 30 minute drive away along with Souda which are beautiful towns. Especially the Chania markets! A must go to if you love a bargain! The hotel could be somewhat more clear on what is included etc. The hotel is amazing so don’t let that put you off but we were told the tourist charge was €10 euro per room, per night, which is correct but we were also charged extra and we’re unsure really what that was for. Also we have been twice to this hotel, the first time when booking we had the option available to go all inclusive plus but the second time that option wasn’t available until we arrived at the hotel and it was quite steep compared to the first time we visited the hotel and with not much difference to the basic all inclusive package. After all a gin and tonic is a gin and tonic be that from the local gin or branded big name gin. Overall though, lovely place to stay and the staff are amazing! So helpful and super polite! Will absolutely be back again! "

"Rooftop bar/pool area used for breakfast is a real delight with views of the sea and mountains. The food was exceptional and the dinner buffet very good value head and shoulders above most we have experienced in terms of quality and choice. Very unusual for holiday hotels is the quality of the bedrooms and especially the bed. Excellent in all respects apart from the MUZAK which is played morning noon and night and spoils the wonderful rooftop breakfast experience totally. "
