Wonderful Property

This is a wonderful property within easy walking distance to all that Key West has to offer, but with the pool and beautifully furnished seating areas in the house, there's no real need to leave and feel like you're on vacation.

Clean, comfy, and central

This was a very accommodating property with easy check in, clean and comfy room, and a nice central location to everything we wanted to do in old town. The amenities — coffee, water, oranges, candy, and towels — were wonderful and were a big part of our overall satisfaction with our stay.

We thought the unit was clean, the location was convenient and the inn keepers were very accommodating. We’d definitely stay at the Azul Home again.

Mini Vacation

We flew in on a Thursday, Uber from airport to Old Town. We never needed a car the whole time. Everything was within walking distance or a short drive. Plenty of restraunts and things to do. The residence was beautiful and warm. We were very comfortable and functional. My wife and I loved it.I definitely recommend it.

Great location!

My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway to escape the cold MN winter and it was close to everything we wanted to see. The property is very unique and clean. We were right near the pool and our room had a strong chlorine smell which was hard to adjust to. Overall, we had a great stay!

Love this cute little spot. The rooms are large and have a key west romantic feel. We were pool side and for an amazing price. Just blocks away from Duval and a scooter rental place 1 block down. Communication was great and check in was a breeze

Nice historic property with easy location and parking

Azul mansion is in a great location with easy walking to Duval, Higgs Beach, etc. Free parking that was always available onsite. Very clean. Bathroom could use an update. If staying in Ambrosia, note that the light and sounds take some getting used to. You have the light from the pool area (we were fine with it but if you are sensitive to light this is not the room for you) and the ceiling fan and air conditioning unit are fairly loud. The first night we were awake every hour but it got better. All in all really enjoyed the property.

We rented a golf cart just down the street and used that to get around during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. The only issues we encountered were the door had to be slammed to close , I think a little WD-40 would help and the room rug kept getting stuck in the door each time we entered. Minor issues and overall a nice property in a decent area.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was conveniently located in walking distance to so much. Common area was comfortable but stays unlocked 24/7. The room itself was accommodating and bed was comfortable; however, it lacked amenities in the bathroom to store personal items. Site lacks washer/dryer for guests use. Parking accommodations on sight were not sufficient. Communication with property management could have been better prior to checkin ... arrived to an already opened room which caused some confusion b/w us and property manager since this was not typical checkin procedure.

Beautiful but impossible to sleep

The property is very well kept and very nice. However the lights from the pool and outdoor areas made our room bright all night. I asked if anything could be done they said no. We had the sheers and curtains closed and could still read at midnight with no other lights on. If we had booked longer we would have had to leave. You could not sleep through the night. Each day of vacation started out with very little sleep. Further the property next door is right up against the rooms and trash cans with bottles being dumped and compacted or broken up, carts and equipment rolling over pavers from next door or this property started between 5am and 5:30am each day. The inability to get any rest on our vacation totally ruined the trip. For what we paid we expected to get rest on our trip. My inquiries were met with either there isn’t any thing we can do or at my insistence the virtual innkeeper would let the owners know. So far I have not heard anything from the owners.

Ambrosia Azul is Okay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Azul in Key West on Truman is just a few blocks from Duvall Street and where the action begins. The room was clean, the bed and pillows comfortable. The room does show some aging and the blinds do not quite block out the outdoor lighting at night so the room doesn't get really dark. The ceiling fan has one speed-high and rocks in it's base so it 'clicks' all night. The pool is a great feature and we used it a few times to cool down and relax. I would recommend a friend to stay with the above items, however next time we will be trying another location as there are so many.
