The staff at at Kbar Lodge were awsome. The front desk greqted us with smiles qnd where super helpful. Great breakfast in the morning. Pus the view of the mountains from the hotel are breathtaking.

We had a great stay at KBar S Lodge! The property is beautifully spread out, offering a peaceful setting and lovely views of Mt. Rushmore from several spots around the lodge. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the quiet, scenic surroundings. The complimentary breakfast was decent, with a good variety of options to start the day. The breakfast area itself is cozy and well-maintained, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a meal before heading out to explore. Would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone visiting the Keystone area!

Except for the Western Conifer Seed Bug infestation that appears to overwhelm the staff and maintenance group, this would have been a 4 star experience. We had multiple bugs in our room each day. Even with doors and windows closed they found a way in and made our outdoor terrace overlooking Mt Rushmore useless. Staff seems to feel if you stay there you need to accept some insects. Take that into account when booking.
