I had a lovely stay. James was very professional and attentive at all times, and very easy on the eye! The breakfast was amazing, the kitchen staff might need telling though that you can hear every word they are saying/singing!
Very disappointing. Bed clothes with holes in, bed with worn out faux leather, TV remote control had flat batteries, soap dispensers in bathroom covered in dust. Not good enough at any time: particularly concerning during Covid 19 pandemic. Not quite sure about some of the marks on pillows. Chipped washbasin. Beautiful sunrise! Great sympathy for hotel at current time, but failure to maintain basics is letting down what was and what could be a very nice place to stay
We had a really enjoyable one-night stay in this modern yet quirky Country Inn. The bar/restaurant area is wonderful and contains many authentic rustic/vintage items while still retaining a modern/trendy theme throughout. I was also very impressed with the friendly service there and this only added to the positive experience during my short stay. I'd very much recommend this place as a friendly, cosy, atmospheric, off-beat guest house to stay in while in the area.
Staying just one night and arrived late-ish. Car park hard to find in the dark - needs reflective strips or very simple lighting of the entrance. Location easy to find from postcode and obvious when near. As name suggests, the Inn has a bar on the ground floor, which looked nice, was warmed by a fire, and which had good patronage.
I was put in a room which was immediately above the kitchen and which had the (boxed-in) fan flue running through it; it was very noisy when running, and kitchen noises (pans being put down, etc) could be heard clearly. This is the main reason marked down on comfort.
The room was nicely furnished, spacious and had a decent bathroom. There was a lot of gurgling or "belching" of air (but not water) coming from the bath, sink and toilet drains, which was attributed to wind outside causing a vacuum. It was disconcerting.
The staff were pleasant and helpful within their capability (but were unable to change room or fix pipes!).
Loved the hotel, rooms very quirky and colour themed. Old part of the hotel was beautiful. Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Just be careful, we had thought the breakfast was complimentary but we were charged £10 each, it was a lovely breakfast and freshly cooked but it was misleading.

ok place
Nice little place, room a good size, shower kept cutting out due to low water pressure, beer reasonably priced, food a bit expensive and not a lot to choose from. I went for the bar snack instead. Dear price for breakfast. staff require more training on customer services, Smile, Don't moan about walk inns in front of other customers.
Don't ever stay at this hotel if you want a peaceful night. Having paid for a "superior" room, which was much less "superior" than other 4-star accommodations, we were placed in a room overlooking the car park and immediately above a tent which had been erected for a wedding party. The noise was horrendous, not only on the night but also the two previous nights when the sound systems were obviously being tested. How any professional hotelier can let a room like this knowing what disruption there will be is beyond us. Definitely NOT 4-star. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic!!
The place was fantastic and in a good location. Would definitely recommend to stay again:)
Lovely stay for business. Room was excellent and clean. Owner was very helpful and friendly.
Evening meal and breakfast were lovely with great choice.
Will definitely stay again.
Breakfast was very good - nicely cooked and very good choice. We had a family room - 2 adults, 1 child - quite adequate for our 1 night stop. Bedroom was quite big. Wi-Fi was good. Bath was nice and big with a shower over it if you chose to shower. Evening meal was good - had choice of a-la-carte or 2 or 3 plates for a set price - children's plate free with a main adult meal - good value. On a busy road but secondary glazing blocked the noise. Ample car parking. Overall a good place to stay.
