The Great Southern Killarney hotel was magnificent! The property was beautifully maintained and the staff were very accommodating to our needs. We highly recommend this hotel and definitely plan on visiting again!

Hotel for the Ring of Kerry

One of the best hotel stays we have ever had, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and that did not decline throughout our stay. The hotel itself is spectacular but its greatest asset is the staff. Polite and courteous, willing to take time to engage in conversation, from the doorman through to the cleaners, service in the restaurant and the bar second to none. I was allowed to keep my road bike in my room and the welcome pack of energy bars and supplements due to doing the Ring of Kerry Charity ride was a totally unexpected treat, that just goes to show how they make your stay personal. When we return to Killarney the Great Southern will be our hotel of choice.

Loved every minute of our stay here. Staff were super friendly and the room was so comfortable. Food was really good and the bar staff were great craic and made great cocktails!

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help. They are as accommodating as possible. We got in very early from the US and we were exhausted, they allowed us to check in a little early and even comped our breakfast the first morning. The breakfast is included and is incredible! So many options and so delicious, I looked forward to it each morning. I missed it when I got back home. The hotel is near the center of town and it's just a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. We loved our stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel but check in was bit bumpy. Arrived late but no staff to assist with bags and real confusion on valet options for car. Staff was friendly enough but did not seem to understand the process. Just a tick off our experiences at other fine Irish hotels. Just needs to button up their procedures a bit!

Adequate

After the initial mix up with the room, and a prompt for a cup of tea while we waited for them to ready a ready. The room was adequate, twin beds pushed together - obvious by their fixed to wall headboards. The pool was overrun with children, jumping in and throwing a mini rugby ball at pace across the pool. Fireworks for a wedding that night were and added bonus and the hotel had thought ahead to pre-warn and invite viewing. Not a 4 star hotel but adequate.

We didn't t have time to fully appreciate the property and its rich history. The room, restaurant and gym were all very nice. It was an excellent location to town and had convenient parking adjacent to the hotel which was a major selling point for us!

Very spacious room. Staff as always friendly and efficient. Easy parking. Only issue was 9pm Sunday morning just after 8am there was noise outside our room- sounded like a saw cutting thru timber or a sander- very poor that such work would be allowed 8n hotel grounds over weekend

What a lovely, elegant place to stay in Killarney, close to the town center, but a quiet oasis harking back to a glorious time. The bar and lobby area of the hotel are gorgeous. Service is impeccable. And the breakfast is very good.

A charming traditional hotel with a beautiful garden area. Breakfast was excellent, both food and service. The majority of the guests were seniors. It was a quick five minute walk to the main restaurant and pub area. I would go back sometime.

This has been hands down my favorite hotel I've stayed in. The history of this hotel and grounds is varied and interesting. The rooms were beautifully appointed. The beds were plush with firm and soft pillows to choose from. The staff is impeccable. Their attentiveness to our family during our stay made our stay memorable in the best way. The gastronomy options are excellent as is the wine and spirits selection.

It was a fabulous hotel, staff were amazing 👏, at breakfast we waited 40 minutes familys that came in after us were all served and had eaten and left before we got ours. Even do our order had been taken 40 minutes prior, but saying that the food when we got it was 5 stars, Would stay again and will be back
