I loved this pub and the rooms. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the location is unreal and the food amazing. I would highly recommend and will definitely go back.
Friendly staff, great food, beautiful location. The room was fantastic, huge bed, great shower, really great staff working there. Wednesday night free quiz is great fun too!!
Excellent Hotel, located right opposite the beach. Staff were extremely friendly and food was good, both at breakfast & dinner.
Great size room, with amazing views.
There is parking next to the Hotel in a pay & display car park, which is £10 for 24 hours
Wonderful location, welcoming staff, bit noisy as we were over the deck above the kitchen, and think toilets underneath us had a macerator malfunctioning as it kept starting and stopping all night but nothing the staff could really do about that! Food was good and beaches nearby were lovely. Overall, very nice
What a fantastic place! Great location, wonderful staff and comfortable and clean accommodation with outstanding views of the ocean and sunset. We’ll definitely be back again ….. and again …… and again ….
This was an amazing trip to Hope Cove. Despite the weather not being completely in our favour, this was made up for by an incredible area and most of all incredible hotel with great service at an affordable price. We were also delighted with the breakfast that came complimentary with our stay.
Set in a lovely position on the beach with beautiful walks along the coastal path. The staff are brilliant they can’t do enough for you a couple of hiccups were dealt with very quickly and professionally the breakfast’s were very good and Louise was great at looking after us. We would highly recommend a stay at the Hope And Anchor thank you Shane Lee and the team
The location is magnificent, this is such a stunning part of devon, and you walk out the door basically onto the beach! The room was beautiful, with colour and texture and charm. the only slight against it was the only parking is the public carpark nextdoor so about £10 per day, but thats not much of a gripe in the scheme of things and they were super dog friendly. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
Excellent night away spent at the hotel.
Very clean and excellent coffee machine !
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Fantastic place to stay in really enjoyed it. Thank you very much.
Absolutely fabulous stay ! Highly recommend.
In a beautiful location.
All staff very welcoming and happy to help, especially Ollie, who was quick to assist us on arrival when we had a minor issue, he rectified our problem immediately.
Great room and ensuite, excellent food from the tasty hake in the evening to plentiful breakfast in the morning. Look forward to our return.
Very clean, good service, great food in evenings and breakfast.
The only small downside was the pub next door which had very loud music one night and our room was right next o it .May be more of an issue in summer season or if you have kids.
Just spent 2 nights at The Hope & Anchor and had a fantastic stay. We arrived on Boxing Day a bit early for check in and although the restaurant was packed and the staff were really busy we got a very warm welcome and were able to go to our room. We had lunch and evening meal on the first day which were excellent. The breakfast was lovely (scrambled eggs were perfect and the overnight oats excellent). The room was very clean and warm with a nice view of the sea. There was a lovely welcome bag for the dog with lots of thoughtful things included. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The young girl serving breakfasts was particularly good. We were able to park on the road in front of the pub as it was out of season and the costs of the car park next door were reasonable. Will be booking again for next year!
