"Room was clean and serviceable but basic. View from the room was lovely - forested area.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was more Asian in style than Western, although there were Western offerings."
"The room was old and dated. The air conditioning was not effective. It was basically a room stuck in 1980s.
The bathroom was also dated and was in need of renovation.
The fact that you must use a metal key to open the door should give you a clue the current state of the hotel."
"Property was well maintained and very clean. Breakfast was great but the dinner buffet had limited options. It wasn’t worth the cost. Room service was also very limited. Location wise the nature was gorgeous but you need a car. The onsen was very nice."
"The location is nice (about a 30 minute winding road drive from Karuizawa station), but the building is a bit on the older side. Dogs are allowed, and the walls are a bit thin, so when someone walks by outside or the (quite loud) AC unit switches on, expect to hear barking no matter what time it is. The beds are also quite old and not particularly comfortable. "
