"Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

"This was genuinely the best stay I have ever had. The room and facilities were great, the food was utterly amazing, and the staff were so welcoming and caring. "We booked this ryokan to get an authentic high-class Japanese experience and that's exactly what we got. We slept on tatami mats on the floor in a large room; we had our own private dining room where a huge variety of gourmet quality food was served for dinner; we used a very clean large onsen in the hotel which had both indoor and outdoor pools; we could help ourselves to water, tea and coffee any time we wanted. The staff were extremely helpful, including providing a shuttle service into town any time we needed it. What we missed was a comfortable chair or sofa to relax in and we didn't find a single English-language channel on the TV (a minor issue)."

The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk from the famous bathhouses, restaurants, and the charming canal, making it incredibly easy to enjoy everything this wonderful town has to offer. One of our favorite parts of the stay was being able to immerse ourselves in the unique atmosphere of Kinosaki while returning each evening to such a peaceful and comfortable hotel. Every interaction with the staff reflected the warmth and care for which Japan is known. If you’re planning a visit to Kinosaki Onsen, I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. It combines outstanding service, comfort, and an ideal location to create a truly unforgettable experience. We would gladly stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful town."

"A good spot to stay in Kinosaki. The room itself was pretty outdated with an old tv - I really enjoy when hotel TV's have casting capabilities which this one did not. But the service and meals service was excellent, it's a self-serve buffet style dining which is great if you're a slightly fussy eater like myself. A little disappointed that the room view was blocked by netting for maintenance, which Inwas advised prior to arrival but after booking. I think some form of discount would have been nice for the inconvenience considering I had booked a river view room."

"Staff were incredibly attentive and nice. Even with the language barrier they went above and beyond using Google Translate to explain the courses of our dinners and breakfasts, as well as information about the town. The hotel was slightly out of town (15mins walk) but they have a shuttle that was basically on demand. We wanted to go into town for the night and they dropped and picked us up at our desired time. The property is also tucked at the base of a mountain which made for a beautiful location. Overall a relaxing stay and a highlight of my 3 week trip around Japan. "
