Hyvän palvelun majatalo

Erinomainen paikka lyhyeen oleskeluun. Kelo-rivitalon huoneisto oli pieni, mutta kompakti ja siisti. Sijainti hyvä patikoijalle. Aamiainen oli perustasoa. Palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä. Saapumisiltanani pääsin rantasaunaan, joka ilmeisesti ei normaalisti kuulu huoneen hintaan. Sauna oli upea elämys ja uimaan pääsi kivasti pitkospuita pitkin hiekkarannasta.

Upealla paikalla Pienen Karhunkierroksen varrella. Kaunis ja hiljainen alue. Rantasauna aivan mahtava ja uimaan pääsi puhtaaseen järveen. Huone pieni mutta aivan riittävä yhden yön majoitukseen. Henkilökunta oli uutta mutta tekivät parhaansa. Täydellinen paikka rauhaa arvostavalle.

L'établissement se proclame "dog friendly" avec une affiche à l'entrée, or rien n'est proposé dans la chambre pour le confort du chien et il nous est demandé un supplément non négligeable (30 euros). Aussi le repas buffet était très cher (35 euros par personne) pour quelques crudités, de la purée, de la viande de rennes et une crème dessert.

Oulankaan heinäkuun lopulla

Matkustettiin Basecamp hotelliin ajatuksella retkeillä seuraavana päivä Oulangassa. Hyvin sopi ajatuksee ja hintaan sisältunyt sauna/palju oli kiva ylläri.

Karhunkierroksen taukopaikka

Sijainti pienen karhunkierroksen läheisyydessä hyvä. Alakerroksen huoneiden julkisivuseinä kokonaan lasia, joten vaatii pitämään verhot edessä kaiken aikaa. Kapea parivuode ja muutenkin aika ahtaat tilat kahdelle (koskee alakerran huoneita). Hintaan sisältyvä aamiainen perustasoa. Päivällisen hinta yläkantissa sisältöön nähden. Ei wifiä eikä telkkaria huoneissa. Suurena bonuksena sauna ja kylpypalju sisältyvät huoneen hintaan. Kannattaa varata uimapuku mukaan yhteissaunaan.

Rauhallinen ja kotoisa paikka. Kiva hiekkauimaranta samassa yhteydessä. Sopii loistavasti tukikohdaksi ulkoilun lomassa. Ulkoilureitit miellyttivät (mm. Pieni Karhunkierros) ja täältä pääsee myös mutkattomasti koskimelontaan. Ruokailut rajoitetut, mutta hyvää ja terveellistä.

Asiallinen majoitus kohtuuhintaan

Huone oli pienehkö ja varustelutasoltaan karsittu, mutta erittäin siisti. Lisäksi sain huoneen rakennuksen kaukaisimmasta kulmasta, joten paikka oli rauhallinen - tosin olin ainoa yhden hengen huoneessa yöpyjä, joten mikä tahansa yhden hengen huone (kaikki neljä sijaitsivat rinnetalon alakerrassa) olisi sellainen ollut. Koska huoneen koko päätyseinä oli lasia, tuntui siinä olo hieman akvaariomaiselta, joskin pimennysverhon kyllä pystyi halutessaan vetämään näkösuojaksi. Yläkerran kahden hengen parvekehuoneet olisivat tosin olleet siinä suhteessa miellyttävämpiä. Missasin hieman virheellisen kellonaikatiedon vuoksi majoituspaikan vain tunnin kestävän illallisajan, mutta aamiainen oli ok.

Oulanka Basecamp retkitukikohtana

Hyvä sijainti Pienelle Karhunkierrokselle ja Oulangan Kansallispuistoon. Rauhallinen majoitus, tukeva aamupala, perus sähkösauna. Buffet Illallinen 17-19.30 oli hyvä, jos sen lisähinnasta halusi ottaa.
