"The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. On weekdays especially the hotel is an active construction site inside and out. It probably isn't what the workers want, to have to share a construction site with guests. It...

"Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."

"The hotel is outdated. Furniture in room are missing pieces , some others are fixed with scotch tape , rooms are hit since they haven’t update the ac system ( they use a portable fan in top of the ac unit to help improve efficiency). Rooms don’t have showers so if you have to bathe have to do it on a weird room surround by people . Do not buy the breakfast option unless you are looking for a bunch of weird things ( I can eat anything however I did not touch that meal ). Transportation around...
