This hotel is in a great location with really modern rooms and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel while visiting Kyoto. Staff was very friendly and helped us with the check-in process and also to call an uber driver during the checkout.

The property was very nice and clean! Great for a family of 6. Very close to many nice areas and good food within minutes. Loved that it has two toilets for our big family. We loved it!! The price was perfect. Thank you Minn, the stay couldn’t be better!

Excellent Experience – Would Definitely Return This hotel exceeded our expectations. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and well organized. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The location is ideal for travelers who want to explore the city easily. A wonderful stay overall. Super clean room with all the amenities we needed. Super easy check in and helpful staff. Know that this is not fully staffed at all times, which works great for us. Washer/dryer was a nice add on. Family of four with two teenagers and had plenty of room. Great location near metro station and Gion neighborhood

Our stay at Minn Kawaramachi exceeded all expectations and was perfect for our family. The check-in and check-out process was incredibly smooth, and the instructions to get to our room were clear and easy to follow. We were impressed by how spacious the room was, especially the convenient layout featuring two toilets, a separate bath, and a dedicated vanity area that made getting ready a breeze.

If I could give this hotel a 6-star rating, I absolutely would! This was, by far the best of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our 14-day trip to Japan. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. The digital check-in process was incredibly efficient and convenient -- even the room key was fully digital, eliminating the need for plastic key cards — a small but thoughtful touch that aligns well with modern sustainability practices. The room itself was impressively spacious with a beautiful blend of modern design and subtle Japanese cultural elements. The thoughtful amenities truly elevated our stay, with the in-room washing machine an absolute lifesaver for a family traveling through Kyoto during the hot summer month. The location was another highlight. The hotel is perfectly situated, with Gion just around the corner and an abundance of amazing restaurants within walking distance. A few things to note: the hotel has a strict 3:00 PM check-in time. However, this was not an issue at all, as they provide convenient luggage storage for early arrivals. There is also no in-house restaurant, but the room comes equipped with a kitchen, making it easy to pick up breakfast items from a nearby FamilyMart and enjoy a meal in the comfort of your room. Overall, we had an exceptional stay and would happily return to this hotel on our next visit to Kyoto.
