Such a comfortable stay. Very easy to navigate and had very friendly and helpful staff. I requested to have a nicer view room since I was celebrating my birthday and they did grant my request although at first they could not promise it since they had a national holiday. For being the first time traveling to Kyoto I was extremely happy in staying here. Staff extremely helpful, convenient transportation is everywhere in the area and great starting point if you want to walk around town. Plenty of food and shopping areas. I think this was the best place we stayed at on our trip to Japan! Located actually inside of the train station, you couldn't want for better conveniences and so quiet, you'd never guess that there were trains & thousands of people passing by! Shopping & dining options were plentiful & amazing and the accommodations were quite comfortable. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Hotel is wedged in alongside train tracks. You actually access it from inside the station itself. It also connects to subway system underneath station. You need the subway because attractions around Kyoto are spread out. Lots of dining options in the station concourse. Reasonable cost and convenient.
