With beautiful beaches and the famous La Jolla Tide pools directly in front, Sur La Mer is an oceanfront condo with rare southwest ocean views. From an unmatched oceanfront terrace, experience the waves and enjoy stunning sunsets.

This chic 4th-floor condo has a unique combination of unobstructed views, beach access, and village walkability. Park your car in the reserved underground parking spot and walk everywhere throughout your stay—tide pools, the wedding bowl, restaurants, and museums are all at your fingertips. Be sure to explore Seal Rock, the ultimate spot to watch local seals and sea lions gather!

Welcome Home
- We have plenty of ocean breezes through windows and doors. Like most homes in the area, we do not have central AC.
- Our occupancy includes an additional one guest beyond bed count. Two trifold single floor mattresses and additional linens are at the property.
- This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000.

1 parking spot for a standard-sized car in a shared parking garage located on-site.
The garage height limit is 76".
Street parking with street sign restrictions.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

Nice unit with stunning ocean views from the moment you walk in the front door. The balcony has accordion doors that fully open up to the Pacific breezes. The unit is about a 10-15 minute walk to all of the restaurants, so a great location a bit off the beaten path (Prospect Street) but still in an area that attracts a lot of visitors, especially on weekends. Stephanie was very engaged and allowed an early check in which was very helpful. An all around great experience!

The attention to detail both in communication and the amenities in the condo were wonderful - coffee bar supplies, snacks and wine were left for our enjoyment and lots of beach supplies. The view is beyond exceptional. We will definitely book next time we come to La Jolla.

Stephanie was very helpful and even sent pictures of available ovenware to help my meal planning. Her responsiveness and checking in on us during our stay for any concerns was especially nice.This place was outstanding with beautiful ocean views, great balcony and close proximity to La Jolla’s shopping and restaurant district.

This 2 bedroom home is perfect for a great beach getaway. It’s super clean and very well stocked with everything needed for a wonderful visit in La Jolla. The owner is very helpful with great communication and you simply cannot beat the views and the sunsets!

A lovely seaside condo. The unit is very nice in need of a few updates but over all good. You cannot beat the location and the view. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is an indoor garage parking spot. The owners are very nice and highly responsive.

Best location in La Jolla!Beautiful condo with a balcony that looks up and down the shoreline. We spent most of our time out there watching the waves and the people. We didn’t rent a car. Easy walk to so many great restaurants. The host was great. She checked in on us, although everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!

This condo was a fantastic stay! The location couldn’t be beat with spectacular ocean views and the most amazing sunsets every night. Right in front of the tide pools which provided hours of entertainment for our 9yr old and sandy swimming beach just a short walk. Check in was easy, host stayed in contact, and everything you could need was provided!

Breathtaking views, heartwarming experience, excellent stay!

We had an amazing time and can’t wait to return. We arrived to an easy check-in since we had great instructions and communication from the very nice host, Stephanie, who was readily available throughout our stay with any questions/suggestions. Easy to park in garage and quick elevator to beautiful home. Dog friendly and accommodating so our fur baby was happy. The view stole the show! Breathtaking, incredible, mesmerizing doesn’t even begin to describe. We spent most of our time gazing at the turquoise waves and abundant sea life, seals, dolphins, pelicans, seagulls, sandpipers and of course all the local cute doggies. Even explored the awesome otherworldly tide pools right across the street! Anemone, sea grass, crabs and cool prehistoric looking chitons sparkled in the sun. Such a treat if you have time! Sunrise and sunset (and everything in between) walks on the clean, uncrowded beach were so peaceful. We felt really lucky to experience it. Wonderful location within easy walking distance to town for all kinds of yummy treats. La Valencia, George’s, Catania and Spiro’s were all delicious and don’t miss Balboa Candy store for some 80s sugar throwbacks. Spotless home with everything you need, you really don’t have to leave. Comfortable beds and very quiet neighborhood so you fall asleep to the waves, we slept like babies. Dear Stephanie, Thank you kindly for the beautiful stay, we’re grateful for all the love. Spectacular stay

This is a very special place, with sliding doors that open into the ocean, it was breathtaking. The location is so special we changed plans to just stay around home for a full day, waking through tide pools, playing at the beach and walking along the shore. The communication and helpfulness from the host was also very helpful and thurough. We even accidentally broke something and she was so kind and replaced it right away even though I offered to fix the problem. Only improvement is the unit could use a deep clean. The beds were also quite soft, but I think most people like that.... We prefer firmer mattresses. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, bedding and pillows. The kitchen was well stocked, as we cooked all our meals there due to food allergies. Again, this is a spectacular unit and I would definetly recommend coming here with your family.

Exceeded expectations

Can't say enough positive things about our stay in La Jolla. From the balcony we viewed whales, porpoises, wedding proposals (in the park across the street) and surfers. With a short walk down the oceanfront walkway we enjoyed seals, sea lions, pelicans and cormorants. Our host was very accommodating and the condo had every amenity.It was a two-week vacation that our family will not forget.

Sur La Mer is a complete joy!

We stayed 5 nights at this delightful property. The location is ideal-oceanfront with endless views (and great people watching). Imagine falling asleep to the sound of the surf...just heavenly. The condo is very clean, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. We appreciated the welcoming touches of wine, chocolates and coffee. There was a facility issue towards the end of our stay. Communication was great-our host, Stephanie provided an expedient response and kept us updated as the issue was resolved. We look forward to staying at Sur La Mer again.

Amazing Stay!

We choose this property because of the beautiful view of the ocean and the proximity to the sea lions/seals. This property did not disappoint. I have trouble sleeping everywhere but I slept 9 hours each night with the breeze and sound of the beautiful ocean. The first night my daughter and husband heard whales. I missed it because I slept so well. So many great restaurants nearby and many different boutiques in the area. We drove up the coast and the views were beautiful and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. We loved sitting on the balcony and in the Livi room with the glass door open. The breeze came in and it was just lovely. The welcome basket was unexpected and very nice touch to a long travel day. I definitely would go back and stay again. It was a wonderful place to stay and relax. I miss it already!

Stephanie gave us clear instructions for access to the property and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The property was clean, fully stocked kitchen, and had the most amazing views! Walkable to everything La Jolla has to offer. We will definitely be staying here again.

Sur La Mer, Perfection!!!!

From the moment you open the door and look out at the Pacific Ocean through the expansive windows, you can feel your blood pressure drop. The pictures and the accomodations can't hold a candle to the views and the comfort you feel when you enter. Wildlife both on the ground and in the sea are plentiful, the only thing we were missing were binoculars. The owners are attentive and the professional. This is VRBO is one to book.

Another Great Stay at Sur La Mer

Stephanie is on top of it as a host and manager. She responds well and communicates often to ensure everything during the stay is great. The condo is clean. The view is unreal. This was our second stay this Summer and I will go back for sure. You can walk everywhere in the Village of La Jolla. The garage is easy to park in and the directions for the unit are clear once you arrive. Love this location and condo.

Great Stay at Sur La Mer

This was our first stay. Stephanie is a terrific host. She communicates well and often and responds in a timely manner. We had a fantastic stay and are going again soon! Beautiful view and clean unit. Superb location in La Jolla. You won't want to leave the patio!

I can not say enough about how pleased I was with our stay @ Sur le Mer! From every possible angle our needs were met! Stephanie you thought of everything! Great place, great location, and great host!

The title says it all. Our family had a wonderful time. The accommodations were fantastic and the location was perfect. We literally spent hours on the deck getting lost in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Easy access to both sandy beaches and tidal pools just across the street meant a stress free, go-with-the-flow vacation.

Magical Sunsets

We’re very much enjoyed our stay, thank you! The views are fabulous. I think we’re must have had the best point for viewing the sunset in all of La Jolla. The waves are so close you can hear them and feel the ocean breeze. The beach and tidal pools are directly in front of the condo and the weather was perfect for beach walks, and just short walks to restaurants and shopping. Stephanie was a great host, very responsive. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed and the beds were comfortable. Can’t wait to return!

Amazing place in La Jolla!

"We had a wonderful time staying at this condo in La Jolla for our family vacation. The view from the condo is breathtaking and unparalleled. It is so close to the ocean that you can feel the breeze and hear the waves from all the rooms. The kitchen is well-equipped with coffee, tea, spices, olive oil, and everything else you need. The living room has a comfortable couch and plenty of games to keep us entertained that we didn't even think about watching TV. The beds were also very comfortable, and we slept soundly with the soothing sound of the waves. The location is perfect, with the beach, shopping, and restaurants all within a scenic walk. There is even an easy spot on the building to hose off sandy feet. This is the most painted and photographed place in La Jolla, so people go there for milestone events. We even saw a marriage proposal from the balcony of the condo. We hope to come back again soon."
