You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Spirit Lodge- Log Cabin with Large front porch

Spirit Lodge is located 10 minutes from downtown Madeline Island, and is just over a minute drive from the beautiful Big Bay Town Park. We do allow pets ONLY with a pet fee. We have one full bedroom with a queen bed and tv, one bathroom, and a loft with a queen bed. Our main level has a kitchen, eating area, couch, dining table, and a wood stove fireplace. The basement is just partially finished, but available for you to use. While you are here at Spirit Lodge, we hope you are able to spend plenty of time enjoying our large from porch that over looks the front yard. The front yard is yours to enjoy, it is the perfect place to gather and enjoy a fire. Our year round home is located about 100 feet from Spirit Lodge.

We love our log cabin and are very happy to have others enjoy the space! Please reach out with any questions.

A Great Way to Enjoy the Island

Spirit Lodge is a great place to stay on Madeline Island! The cabin is clean, comfortable, and really lovely. It's just outside of town, a quiet and peaceful spot. Very close to the beach for plenty of opportunities to enjoy the lake. We loved our stay!

Great unique cabin in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay at Spirit Lodge. The location was perfect, just down the road from Big Bay Town Park beach. Spent our mornings drinking coffee on the porch and watching the hummingbirds feed. Beautiful log cabin, highly recommend.

Great stay

The cabin is fairly removed from the downtown area of Madeline island, which is a plus if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat, it’s about a 10 minute drive from town so you’re not far away either. Overall the cabin was clean and had all the amenities you would need. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time I’m in the area.

Great place to 'Refresh Your Spirit!'

I recently stayed at the Spirit Lodge with three of my children (18,15,13) and we all had a fantastic time. The location was perfect as we were able to bike to the Town Park for beach time and canoeing. We were also able to explore the State Park as it was just a short drive away. The lodge was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary amenities. We will definitely be back in the future!

Anual Trip to the Island

It's hard to find the right words to describe our stay at the spirit lodge. It truly became our home away from home, and the host was so welcoming. It's very well kept and the beds are super comfy. It was the perfect size for myself my 15-year-old her friend and my two year old. Beautiful yard with a lot of space. Definitely hope to come back and stay there again.

I stayed at Spirit Lodge with my husband and 9yo kiddo. We had an awesome mini-vacation staying at Spirit Lodge. Olivia and Evan are so friendly; sparse and present in the perfect balance. This location is quiet and close to both the town and state park beaches and hikes. It was everything we were looking for. Thanks, also, for having so many board games to choose from for our nighttime entertainment :)

We brought her two teenage grandchildren with us. They entertain themselves on the upper lot when we would get home from our days adventures. We enjoyed having the bonfire cooking food out there. So relaxing to sit out on the desk and truly enjoyed all of God's beauty.

Hidden Gem on the Rock

This property is the most amazing place.. /Virbo we've ever rented! So warm and inviting and Evan and Olivia are by far the best hosts we've ever came across hands down! Rural getaway

We really enjoyed the rural location, ease of getting to the shoreline and cleanliness of the cabin. The pictures of the loft are deceiving as the headroom is only 4 ft. There’s not even enough room to put the bedside lamp on a table. It would be fine for children but not for adults. The host was very cordial and personally greeted us as they live on the property.

Spacious, Quiet, Cozy Gem

This was our first visit ever to Madeline Island and the experience was elevated by our accommodations at Spirit Lodge! From the time I booked this trip in April all the way through check out today, I was grateful for the clear and helpful communication over the VRBO app with our host Olivia. She provided a list of recommended restaurants, activities, and overall logistics traveling to/from/around the island. Her husband Evan is a nice man who kindly offered to borrow us his 4 wheeler to use if we wanted. The property itself is very impressive. The large front porch was our favorite spot to read and drink coffee and their electric grill helped me grill up some ribeye steaks for dinner. The yard is great to throw the football around or relax with a nighttime campfire. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with the supplies and utensils you need to cook up your meals. The lofted bedroom was perfect for our daughter while the downstairs bedroom/bathroom combination worked great for us parents. At the end of our long days, we played games at the kitchen table and read either on the large couch (which also looks to be a pull-out) or venture out to the porch. The property is very close to Big Bay Town Park and a short drive to the main town area of LaPointe with restaurants, shopping options, and the ferry landing. Thank you very much to Olivia and Evan for hosting us at their wonderful property! We will be back!
