"Gorgeous property, great views, and lovely staff. The mud hut was a very unique experience and something we wouldn't find in Canada. The food was delicious and the singer was an added bonus! The only regret I have, is not staying here longer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back some day! I"

"I liked the really big room in was very nice I also really like the bathroom setup the shower was good my only problem with the shower it was very hard to switch the shower mode and my only other complaint was that you could not turn off the outside patio light as I like to sleep with the curtain open so the sunlights wakes me up"

"We loved our stay at Garto, it was by far our favourite resort on our travels. The staff and owner are very helpful and friendly. The villas are large with a separate kitchen, very comfortable beds/seating area, large terrace and the most amazing, privacy screened, outdoor waterfall shower. They are also spotlessly clean with all amenities. The resort makes you feel like you are in nature with lots of greenery and a pool overlooking the sea. Breakfast was huge and cooked to order. The fruit plate was especially good. The resort is very quiet so was extremely relaxing. When we stayed in low season there was no lunch or evening restaurant but there are plenty of options nearby or in Nathon town. Ideally I think you need a car or motorbike as it's off the main road but taxis are freely available. We will certainly return if in Ko Samui and highly recommend the resort for a relaxing holiday."

"Good initially with wonderful views and great aesthetics.Living room and pool were amazing lighting in venue is excellent.Out door area and internal living great for 8 people.Functionality misleading No Gym just a wobble boardDamp smelly rooms down stairs with no hot water at allNo basic amenities Soap coffee milk No Garbage removal in 5 days and a lack of garbage bags to dispose of garbage .Overall upstairs rooms excellent but downstairs rooms need airing before arrival .Electricity on top is an extra cost as explained on the website .We had a great stay ,you need to get grab van to stop at top of driveway as access is very steep cars and bikes would not take us from property to the village only van ."

"We loved this place as it's even better than the photos show. Everything was nice and clean, comfortable and the place is tastefully furnished and well equipped. The view is captivating and we spent a lot of time studying it either from the terrace, the balcony or from the swimming pool, which we always had to ourselves. Housekeeping did an amazing job both before we arrived and on the mid-week clean. They also welcomed us and assisted with our luggage. As mentioned by others your own transport is pretty much essential due to the location. It's not a million miles from the beach but we certainly didn't fancy the walk back up the hill. We prefered to park our hire car at the bottom and drive back up. There's a good selection of restaurants nearby if all types. We tend to use small local type places and our favorite was Malie eatery which we visited more than once as it had the world's best chicken satay and green curry. It's prices are unbelievably cheap as well. We would not hesitate to come back again next time we visit Koh Samui. "
