The hotel is full of character with a unique historical charm — you really feel like you’re stepping into a piece of Azorean history. The location is unbeatable, right inside a fortress overlooking the marina, with a breathtaking view of Pico Island across the water. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere peaceful. Wish we had more time here!"

"This was a fantastic place to stay. Very conveniently located very close to the airport, but you won't hear much going on as it's a very small airport. This is a historic house and there's a lot to look at! The rooms are great and very comfortable. The breakfast service was great. We really enjoyed our stay overall. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone looking to stay on Sao Jorge and would stay here again next time we're here."

"This property is in a spectacular location overlooking the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. You have to coordinate the resorts ATV transportation but it's we'll with the effort. This is a perfect place to escape so stay at least a few days if not more. You should stop at the grocery store and be fully stocked for meals although you're greeted with homemade bread, local cheese and the owners produced wine. "

"Muchas gracias a Julia y Beatriz por la facilidad de comunicación y ayuda con todo. El apartamento estaba muy limpio, en perfectas condiciones y la cama muy cómoda. Está todo muy nuevo y tiene todo lo necesario. Por ponerle algo negativo es que a ciertas horas del día es imposible aparcar en los alrededores y que no tiene ascensor, por lo que subir con maletas si te toca una habitacion en plantas altas se hace pesado."

"Great location but a little far from the port. Small luggage recommended for getting upstairs. Staff were attentive. They can book your airport transfer. My room has a great view of the marina and Pico mountain which were covered with clouds all the time. My bed and bathroom were good with great hot showers . There’s a kitchen you can use. I would stay again if I ever come back to the Azores."

"We were warmly welcomed by Miguel, the owner/manager of the place. We experienced a slight inconvenience with our room at arrival, but Miguel quickly offered us a solution, which was suitable and much appreciated. The view from the terrace was incredible! This is related to the town and not to the lodging, but for dining options, at the time of the year that we went (early June) there were not much choices. But overall, a good experience! :)"

"The air was very damp and smelled like mold. There was indeed some black mold on the shower curtain and on the window curtain. Everything felt slightly damp in the room including our pillows. It was therefore extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We woke up in the morning feeling nausea presumably because of the disgusting air. There was also a door to the outside that rattled loudly every time a gust of wind blew which also made it hard to sleep. Overall I would recommend finding different...
