Lakeside relaxation

Wonderful home with great views of the lake from home and large deck. Peaceful setting for relaxing time with family in comfortable home with well equipped kitchen and bedrooms for an enjoyable stay. Owner Tom was very responsive before and during our stay and entire process was very smooth.

Perfect getaway weekend celebrating dad’s 60th birthday. Home had everything we needed including water toys, grills, fire pit, games. Clean and comfortable. The host was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. He reached out to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

phenomenal

took my research lab from UPenn on a retreat here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The waterfront situation is, to use the parlance of my gen Z lab members, FIRE. Living room and 4 seasons / dining room also great for hangs. In short, it was perfect for us!!

Excellent weekend at the lake!

We had an amazing time staying at Tom’s place. It was perfect for accommodating the whole family. The kids loved the game room and the dining room was our “hang out” zone. The house was well kept and very clean. Tom is a great communicator and was even able to accommodate an early check in/ late check out for us. He also helped us coordinate with the community rec center so we can launch our own boat in the lake. I will definitely be staying here again!

Lake Family Vacation

Very convenient location. The Hideout is a gated community. The House we stayed in was fully equipped and accommodating for 6 adults and 4 children all under the ages of 10. The kids particularly enjoyed being able to fish right from the floating docks! Everyone also enjoyed the provided equipment without having to go to the marina. The beach and TiKi Bar is a short drive and very nice. I would highly recommend this property.

The hideout

Easy check in and entrance to private community. House had incredible spot on the lake, beautiful views and location. Owner gave us all the necessary information, for our stay. And was extremely thoughtful with check in and checkour times. "The Hideout" has so much to do, for family and friends. Do to a perfect weather weekend, we really just took in the lake all 3 days there. But there were plenty of options, beach, tiki bar, game room, golf, mini golf..ex...will definitly love to rent again.

100% Will rent again

House was clean, it was able to accommodate 7 adults and 3 children under 1. Yard was flat and big enough where I was able to bring a blow up pool for the children. The hideout community is great and it gives you access to the beach/lake and pool. 10 min from a grocery stores and other places to order out. Tom was in communication before check in, during and after. I would 100% stay again.

Amazing Property!

Amazing house and grounds. House was very clean, and has everything you need. We make all of our meals during our vacations, so the fully stocked (and very clean kitchen) was terrific. Seamless check-in/out process. Owner Tom is great to communicate with. Waterfront is amazing. Shallow lake with steps and dock. We were in the water most of the time! Town is 5 minutes away for groceries/beer/pharmacy, yet when you’re at camp, you feel like the town is hours away!! Very nice experience. Everyone in our party wants to come back for next year’s vacation! Overall great vacation!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The lake and the house are as described. We are a family of 7 and it was very comfortable. Everyone enjoyed fishing, swimming, and relaxing. The game room was a big plus for the grandkids as well as the kayaks and paddle boat. We took day trips and enjoyed a few area restaurants and lots of ice cream at Moo Moo Time. Tom is a gracious host. Hope to be back again!

The property has everything you need for a family vacation. The house is spacious and clean with beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for a large family dinner or barbeque. The kids enjoyed playing in the game room and kayaking on the lake during the day and then making s'mores at the fire pit when it got dark. We caught a variety of fish... rock bass, yellow perch, pumpkinseeds and sunnies. My favorite thing to do was just sit and watch from the lawn or the deck. Very peaceful area to relax and get away from it all. The location was excellent, also. We visited "Claws N Paws" animal park that I would recommend to families. The grandkids went horseback riding for the first time at a riding place nearby and liked it so much, they went twice. Thank you to our host, Tom, for a lovely stay!

A welcoming home for a multi-generational family vacation. Kids (7, 9, 12) enjoyed the variety of "watercraft," as well as fishing from the dock. The owner was especially responsive and friendly. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen is well equipped--we cooked all of our meals and gathered around a large dining-room table to feast and talk. The game room kept the kids busy while the adults prepared meals. The deck and yard offer several quiet areas for reading/working. The fire pit by the water's edge was perfect for s'mores making. Nearby Lacawac Sanctuary features several trails, which include overlooks and excellent signage that explains the special geology and more. The Osprey Trail hugs a pond where we saw a beaver lodge, beavers swimming, an occupied osprey nest, and several snapping turtles basking in the setting sun. The supermarket in nearby Hamlin is well stocked, and the Bait-N-Basics shop offers a good selection of lures and live bait (plus a bounty of advice). Our stay was short, but we lucked out with great weather and had the lake almost to ourselves. Based on the density of motor boats tied to every available dock, my guess is that during high season, the quiet we enjoyed would be rare. We are kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders; we saw only two moving motorized boats during our stay--the patrol boat and a fan boat (right out of "The Everglades"--I'm dating myself).

Perfect lake house

This house provides everything you need for a wonderful getaway with family or friends. We really enjoyed the kayaks, being able to fish off the dock, swimming, and the cleanliness of the house. We will definitely be back!

Excellent Lake Front House

The house is an excellent lake front property. My family with young kids enjoyed the game room and boats. The owner is very accommodating and good with communication. I highly recommend this property.

Golf/Fish getaway

Had a great time at the lake house. 4 guys golfing and fishing trip. Caught tons of fish off the dock and the 9 hole golf course is really nice and was in great shape. Very peaceful sitting around the campfire at night. Thanks Tom!
