Nice clean room. Cute area outside to sit and star gaze. Walk to town is easy, 20 mins. Would stay here again.

Our expectations were higher given the photos, the description, and the rate paid for a one night stay in January. This is not a professionally run property; rather it’s a simple guest house with basic 2-star amenities. On the plus side. The size of the room was adequate and the views were nice. However everything else was subpar especially given the $1242 NZD (~$730 USD) rate that we paid for one night. There is overdue maintenance especially in the bathroom. There was mold and a showerhead that had water spraying throughout the bathroom. The rate we paid seemed FRAUDULENT… the hosts were extremely eager to collect payment and then seemed to be much less responsive afterward. There was no breakfast as advertised. The stay was disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend anyone paying more than $300 NZD maximum at this property.

Lovely place, clean and comfortable. Nice welcome from staff as we did not have our self check in code. Beautiful location but consequently overpriced compared to other lovely places in New Zealand.
