Only problem was a noisy radiator which I pointed out to the owner and was told it was in hand (the heating had only just been put on and needed a bit of maintenance). Breakfast was good. If you go, i recommend visiting Pembroke Castle and selecting a time when there is a free guided tour…very interesting. Would stay at hotel again."

"The hotel was super clean and the room was very tidy and pretty modern. All the staff were lovely. Very nice to get free parking and breakfast. The only let down was the food in the evening. Paid quite a lot of money for three steaks and they were pretty poor quality and definitely not worth the money. The beds were quite soft which I'm not used to but still had a great night's sleep either way. I'll definitely look to stay here again though the next time we're down as it's in such a great location and is a really lovely place to stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Gardener's Cottage. The essentially three roomed property was perfect for the two of us. We feel that for two couples it would feel far less spacious. Our hosts were wonderful and helped out immediately when we were foxed by the stove top operation. The location was perfect for us. Out of the way, but a great place to explore Pembrokeshire from. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to navigate and our welcome gifts were great as we are both fond of Welsh Cakes. Heating was easy to control and we never felt overheated or too cold. The bathroom has a very good shower and heating bar to keep towels dry and warm. We used the laundry once and with no issues. We will definitely consider Portclew Cottages on our next trip to South Wales. Thank you. Andy & Chas, Astoria, Oregon"

"Our stay was absolutely perfect and amazing from start to finish! We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our Ironman weekend in Tenby.Pauline is the most fabulous host, From the moment we arrived, she was so welcoming and took the time to show us around the whole property, as well as giving us some brilliant tips and recommendations for the local area. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made us feel completely at home.We were there for my husband to take part in the Ironman on the Sunday, and Pauline went above and beyond for us. She even kindly gave me and my son a lift back into Tenby on the Sunday evening, which was incredibly thoughtful and so appreciated.But the most amazing surprise was when we arrived back after my husband had been out completing his Ironman for over 13 hours, Pauline and her husband had made a huge congratulations sign for him finishing. After such a long and emotional day, it was the most wonderful welcome home and such a thoughtful personal touch\. It honestly meant so much to us.The property itself was perfect, the hospitality was second to none, and we couldn’t have felt more welcome.If we ever come back to Tenby — and we absolutely will — we will **1000% book this property again. We honestly couldn’t recommend Pauline, her husband and their beautiful property highly enough.Thank you so much for making such an important weekend even more special\. We’ll definitely be back\! "
