"After difficulty finding and getting to the barge. (I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. Lovely to sit on your balcony overlooking the docks. Bed and bedding not the...
"Great value choice close to Bordeaux Merignac airport.
Very comfortable and helpful staff . Would definitely stay here again if traveling in or out of the area . "
"Nice location between Cité du Vin and the downtown area. Walkable along riverfront walkway. Lots of shopping and dining nearby. Very clean and modern hotel. "
"The best night’s sleep I’ve had in the 20 days that we’ve been in Europe. The hotel and surrounding area are very quiet and the bed was comfortable. "
"A nice and convenient place with easy access to the city centre. Very well maintained. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would be improved through the addition of air conditioning, but otherwise, this is a recommended stay. "
"We chose this hotel as an overnight stay on a longer road trip. It was fine but the room was very small to fit a double bed plus 'loft' area with 2 twin beds. The air circulation was poor and the loft area very warm. Also the A/C struggled and had a constant drip right at the door. We put a cup under it, but eventually just turned it off. Lastly, for some reason we had to pay 'tax' on the breakfast that was included with the price of our room when booking.. Otherwise the stay was adequate to...
"Our second visit to Apparteo Bordeaux and equally enjoyable! The room on the top floor was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great terrace for outdoor dining - very relaxing and appreciated as it was 30C+. A lot of renovation of the surrounding area makes for a very pleasant stay with loads of waterside restaurants, the lovely Halles de Bacalan and, of course the Cite du Vin.
Can recommend taking the No. 4 bus from directly across the road to the Château de Pape Clemente...

"Very nice, clean, spacious rooms. Close to the tram, which you need because the dining, shopping and nightlife options are four stops away…city center. The tram gets you there in about six minutes. A tram ticket for the week is $17. Daily tickets are a bad bargain. Precious little around the hotel itself, except Citè du vin"
"The staff were genuinely friendly, and the bed was very comfortable—complete with a privacy curtain that made it feel cosy and private. I appreciated the spacious storage setup: two lockers and a drawer provided plenty of room for my belongings.
Despite being in a bunk bed, I didn’t notice any squeaking or movement when someone used the top bunk, which made for a restful experience. The blackout shutter on the window blocked out light completely, and the road outside was quiet at night—perfect for uninterrupted sleep.
The only thing I’d suggest is adding one more bathroom and shower room, especially for busier periods.
Location-wise, it’s not too far from Bordeaux city centre. I actually enjoyed the 40-minute walk into town—it was a pleasant way to start the day.

"Room was very comfy and the small kitchenette meant we could have breakfast/lunch there if we chose to. The apartments are located next to a tram station allowing quick access into the centre but is also very close to the river with a lively promenade route available for walking into the centre (about 30 mins ). We also used the promenade for our morning run on a couple of mornings. It is also very convenient for the Cite Du Vin which was five minutes walk away. Overall, we found the staff friendly and helpful. Great to have parking in the basement but access is through a side road and you need an access code to enter - which was a bit tricky to figure out on arrival.
Overall, we were very impressed and felt it offered very good value for money."
