Relaxing Thanksgiving

We have stayed before at this cabin and both times have been just perfect, quiet, relaxing, many things to do around the property, you even forget the Leavenworth is close by.

Awesome winter getaway

We loved this house! Nestled in the woods, gorgeous river view, close to Stevens and the Wenatchee snow park....great fireplace and huge hot tub!!! We can’t wait to go again!

Amazing Stay

We rented the cabin for our honeymoon. It was an incredible experience. The cabin was immaculate, and Tracy was very helpful. The Christmas decorations and the snow felt like we were in a snow globe. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful way to celebrate the holidays!

Beautiful home that was decorated for the holidays! It was perfect for my family to come together since we cannot be together on Christmas. This place has everything you need and the host is very responsive. Want to come back in the summer and stay again!

Darling cabin on the Wenatchee River

Very nice place, comfortable stay, lots of amenities. Adults and older children were very happy. Probably not the best place to stay with young children, particularly the toddler.... stairs are steep, easy for the little to escape outside....

Holiday Winter Adventure

The Dancing Bear Cabin was a sheer delight and made our annual family winter vacation particularly memorable. The cabin was cozy and festive, a perfect home-away-from-home for our large family of sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. We had plenty of room to eat as a family, read in a quiet corner by the fire, watch football, take a nap or soak in the beautiful view of Wenatchee River. Local activities of sledding, strolling through downtown Leavenworth and visiting a real Reindeer Farm! Thanks to our wonderful host Tracy who made everything so easy and fun.

Impressively nice property!

You can rarely see such a well maintained and equipped vacation property. We were really surprised in a good way: - all appliances are very modern and it great condition - a LOT of kitchenware - fast (really fast!) Internet access with a good WiFi router (you may need a range extender to cover the ground floor though) - nice and easy to communicate owner (thanks Tracy!) - very warm and spacious house (we were staying over the winter season) - absolutely beautiful location (right in between Stevens and Leavenworth) Not cheap to rent but it's definitely worth it!

Very Nice Property

The photos do not do justice to this home. It was perfectly appointed. Kitchen had everything you needed for cooking meals. Plenty of room for everyone. If you have kids, the loft with the king bed upstairs can be a bit noisy as the sound travels up there. We found this out when we had our infant up there. We switch to main level room and it was perfectly fine. We plan to come back!

Girls’ Weekend!

Five of us escaped to this cabin in the woods for a desperately needed girls’ weekend. We ate, played games, and crafted at the big dining table; we were cozy chatting and laughing on the couches and chairs by the wood stove fireplace; we relaxed in the hot tub after an afternoon of hiking; and there was plenty of space to spread out when we needed some quiet time after shopping all afternoon in Leavenworth. The house was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The property is right on the river and there’s a big fire pit. The hosts were quick to respond when we had a minor issue and it was easily resolved. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect spot.

Plain, WA cabin that's not so plain.

We booked this cabin specifically because we had not been to this area before. Unfortunately, our departure date was totally last minute and ended up being right in the midst of the fires in Eastern Washington. Tracy was extremely gracious in offering us new dates which she clearly didn't need to do. Going during the fall foliage was fantastic! The cabin is flawless. Beautifully appointed with so many homey touches in a very modern way. Perfect for a family group which we will utilize in the future with ours! Hot tub, pool table, fire pit...it's all here. Having spices and the extras you need for cooking was an excellent touch which not many vrbo's do. Having coffee and cream went above and beyond but having it all set up within the coffeemaker itself tells you everything!

Best stay EVER

Lots of extras that made this stay our best VRBO ever. From Kleenex next to the beds to kitchen equipment and staples- spices, etc. Very dog friendly with dog towels, dishes and even dog beds, Mattresses and sheets were all excellent. We all enjoyed the river at the Cabin, brought a few floats of our own. Teens especially enjoyed the games and pool table. Hot tub is BIG! Owners were responsive and helpful. Fun things in town too- within 30 minutes of the Adventure park. Horseback rides within 10 minutes. Plain Hardware has excellent ice cream. Plain Saturday farmers market (get there early)!! The neighbors down the road had fresh eggs. If you prefer the city this is not the place for you, but if you want to truly unwind and relax, there is no better spot; quiet and tranquil. We hope to come back soon.

Peaceful Setting

We truly enjoyed our visit to Leavenworth and this house. The property had pool, horse shoes, a small lawn for lawn bowling (we brought our own set), and a hot tub to keep everyone entertained. Sitting by the river was a favorite activity also. It is a short drive to golf, great hikes, and into Leavenworth but some of our group just stayed put the entire long weekend. The large table and big island made feeding a group easy and we enjoyed using the grill on the deck to grill up hamburgers and hotdogs for the Fourth of July. We had 8 adults and the space worked well. There are 2 twin beds in the tv room that we didn’t use as they have less privacy - these would work for kids or you could ask people to use the outside stairs and enter through the deck to provide more privacy in this room. The second refrigerator in the pool room was a great help for storing all our food and drinks for the weekend.

Amazing house

This is a great log cabin / house. The owner goes out of her way to make sure the house is perfect every time we rent it. I have stayed in many of the finest hotels in the world and this owner holds this house to those high standards. I have rented the house several times during the holiday period when I want to take my family to Leavenworth. It is a bit of a drive from the town, but well worth it. The owner always has it decorated very nicely for the holidays and the house is consistently very clean. My kids love it. It is set up for a large family or several friends. It has a hot tub, game room, a tv room away from the living room, a big kitchen, fireplace, etc. They have thought through things really well, making sure everything is perfect down to having nice towels or phone charging ports right next to the bed. The house has a river that runs in front of it. Overall just a great experience.

Winter Getaway

We enjoyed a long weekend at this great house with two families. Kids ranged in age from 3-15. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. The beds had great linens and were comfortable. The house was right on the river with a great deck and outdoor space. The small cabin that is also on the property was rented by others while we where there, which initially I was concerned with, but both house are situated for total privacy. All and it, it was great. The only downfall was the bathrooms. They were clean, but there were only 2 of them and for a house full of adults and teens, it felt a little cramped. Also, both of the guys there are over 6'4" and the showers were really short and cramped. But that would be the only negative thing we had to say about the place. We will for sure be back in the summer.

We didn't want to leave!

What a fantastic property! If I could give it more stars, I would. The cabin was immaculate and so well taken care of. Kitchen was perfectly stocked for all of our needs. We cooked and BBQ'd all of our meals. We absolutely loved our stay here - especially being on the river. You can tell that the owners care about the property.

Retirement Celebration

We gathered with our kids and their families to celebrate my husband’s retirement. This cabin is in a beautiful setting and the owners have truly thought of everything. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need, a nice supply of books and games, and a nice area downstairs for watching tv or playing a game of pool or shuffleboard. The hot tub was very nice also. It is quite a ways from Leavenworth on a very windy road, so if you are wanting to be in town every day, that might get old. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. A great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Amazing views

Very well laid out and appointed home. Beautiful views and wonderful seating area's inside and out. Kitchen was so well laid out and the appliances were plentiful and nicely set up for use. Whole home was very clean and well cared for. All in all very pleased with the property and Ms. Tracey's understanding and friendly approach to our unique situation. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area, also recommed Squirrel Tree for dining out!
