Not a franchise hotel

If you want to spend a night in a quaint hotel in a nice little historic town, this is it. Roomy, comfortable, modern bathroom, excellent breakfast. Easy to find.

The room and en-suite bathroom were very clean and spacious. Shower was excellent and water very hot. We enjoyed the proximity to shops and bars in the town. Parking at the station car park is free and 2 minutes walk from the hotel (there is no parking at the hotel itself) We had dinner at the restaurant, which is beautifully decorated. Food is 'Asian fusion'. We chose the set price option (44€) where you order anything you want from a tablet on your table - an interesting and fun concept! Allow plenty of time for this as you must leave 15 minutes between each course. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented.

Would recommend a visit here, & the restaurant!

A lovely little boutique hotel right by the canal. It has a very individual and personal feel. The rooms and large and comfortable, and it was great to have a fridge in the room and complementary water. We ate in the restaurant one night, on the covered deck overlooking the canal, which was beautiful. The food was excellent, it is a very interesting Asian/sushi fusion menu, with a wide choice with imaginative and unusual small dishes. It was so tasty and excellent quality

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Zéér ruime kamer met luxe uitstraling. De bedden slapen heerlijk. Het ontbijt staat smorgens in de hal en kan op de kamer genuttigd worden. Wij hebben ook zo lekker gegeten in ht hotel. Het is aziatische keuken, met elk kwartier een keuze gerecht. All you can eat. Alles vers gemaakt. 70 gerechten om uit te kiezen, dus voor elk wat wils. Kortom echt een aanrader.

Leuk gebouw, grote kamer, maar slechte service, pas na 20 min. kwam er iemand voor inchecken, de ontbijtdozen voor zondagochtend stonden ongekoeld klaar. Inhoud was voor €35 wel heel simpel, geen yoghurt of cereals, alleen broodjes, beleg, (te) zachtgekookt ei en sinaasappelsap. Op de kamer nauwelijks plek om te ontbijten. Personeel doet zijn best maar zijn met te weinig.

Alles was prima in orde Alleen waren er in onze kamer wel enkele mankementen aan de zonwering en aan het raam. Zonwering is te verhelpen. Raam wat lastiger, mag er geen dubbelglas zijn vanwege de monumentale status? Ons werd gewezen hoe het raam geopend kon worden. Maar er kierde iets tussen boven en onder raam. Er stond helaas een koude wind die dagen Gelukkig waren er overgordijnen van stevige stof. Geweldig ontbijt. En lieve attente dames.

Het zag er prima uit. Nieuw, modern etc. Fijn met lichtbad. ĢDoor mijn handicap kan ik moeilijk met de trap. Ik moest wel omdat er geeen lift is. Dus voor mensen die werkelijk geen trap kunnen lopen en/of gehandicapt zijn is verblijf in dit hotel niet mogelijk.

Hotel met potentie

Goed hotel. Er was een verbouwing gaande van het restaurant. Dat wisten we van te voren en dus ook geen last van gehad. Mooie ruime kamer. Aardige behulpzame gastvrouw. Als straks alles klaar is met de verbouwing een heel mooi hotel. Parkeren kan niet op de locatie, wat wel vermeld staat bij hotels.com. Maar is geen probleem. Parkeren kan bij het station. Gratis genoeg plekken en heel klein stukje lopen.

Leuke locatie en een mooi gebouw.De ontvangt was vriendelijk. Bij aankomst in de kamer troffen wij een vieze wc aan,haren in het bad en haren en bed!Veel stof op de plinten en veel handafdrukken op badkamertegels,teleurstellend!! Vervolgens vroegen wij naar de badjassen en pantoffels zoals in de beschrijving voor deze kamer stond,had het personeel nog nooit van gehoord! S’nachts niet normaal kunnen slapen door keiharde muziek uit een naburig café! Het ontbijt was goed maar kort samengevat vindt ik het verblijf te duur ten opzichte van wat je ervoor krijgt!

Perfect!

This is a very nice small hotel in the centre of Leerdam. I have stayed there several times before on business trips as I find everything about it is just perfect. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, the beds are large and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious.

Hotel Het Oude Posthuys - Leerdam

I spent a total of 3 x nights at the Hotel Het Oude Posthuys in Leerdam. It`s clean, friendly and with a very good Thai restaurant below. The hotel is ideally located very close to the centre of Leerdam with a short walk and there you will have more choices of bars and restaurants. Parking is an issue but not insurmountable because there is paid parking on Meent street (free parking from 18:00 to 08:00 hours), but there is also absolutely free parking a short walk away on "Voorwaartsveld" street and next to the train station on "Stationsweg". A good hotel and a place I always use when staying in Leerdam, NL.
