Great location and beautiful home. One thing to note: the third bedroom is actually a loft so has full light/noise. Other than that, a wonderful stay! Would highly recommend!
The property was clean and perfect for a group looking to go to the beach and enjoy the town for the weekend. We were 2 families of varying ages who all enjoyed the deck, backyard, and cooking meals in the kitchen.
This was a nice getaway with my friend and our dogs. great Yard for them! was so great to walk them, nice neighborhood and great for us to walk to dinners and shopping. Our only issue was we wished there was a rug on the stairs for the dogs.
Great house with three large bedrooms. Each room had its own bathroom, which was very nice. It had a great backyard which our dog enjoyed.
The location was just what we wanted--very easy to walk down into the restaurant/shop area (a few minutes), but not right in the middle of it, which might get noisy.
The house was well equipped --linens, cooking utensils, TVs (although we didn't use them). Furniture was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Great time in this three story spot, everything clean and orderly, walk to town and the canal takes 2 minutes. House has some unusual quirks from being subdivided, like the 2nd story bedroom with a 3/4 wall which we needed to monitor our kids around. Beautiful master bedroom, lovely enclosed backyard. Would return!
First stay in the heart of downtown Lewes didn’t disappoint. Home was beautifully updated with a very nice fenced yard and garden, and in walking distance to all that downtown Lewes offers. One observation was the lack of beach house amenities typically stocked at this price point: beach chairs, no umbrella for deck table and chairs without shade, beach towels(none available despite linen fee).
Charming beach home walking distance to shops and restaurants and easy drive to beaches and park. Very responsive property management team. Plenty of space to spread out. Of note, this is a duplex and back yard is shared. Also, one bedroom is open to the floor below. Rooms are quite light in the mornings as blinds are not room darkening. All that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Well maintained; very nice place. First floor is the best with sitting room, great room with wonderful kitchen and back yard. Several wishes:
Wish king bed was on second floor, not 3rd
Wish they carpeted the stairs to make it easier for pets and to stifle the noise that you hear from the other side of the duplex- hear the up and down and the opening and closing of doors. Still is a 5 star because those aren't deal breakers.
Lovely house. Well equipped. One king bed. One queen. 3 singles in one room. 3.5 baths. The showers had just been re-done and need a little finish work. I imagine that will happen soon. The TV's have ltd. cable and we weren't able to figure out the remotes to get even basic stations. If you are going to stay, ask for help with these from the property manager upon arrival. The MBR is on the third floor. The stairs are somewhat steep. Just good to know.
Great place to stay, but expensive with all the fees
We had a great stay at this location. Short walk to historic Lewes, which was a surprisingly pleasant town with shops and restaurants. About 20 minute walk to the beach.
Everything was clean, kitchen was pretty well equipped. Very roomy. Great fenced back yard, perfect for our dog.
No noise, we slept well.
The only thing to complain about was the price is effectively double of what you see listed because of all the extra fees (which I thought was a bit much). It's all listed in the contract, but I didn't realize how much it all added up to until we already booked. I understand this kind of pricing during the summer, but it seems like overpriced for spring time.
We loved this house and would definitely return. The location is amazing- close to the beach and shops, but still on a quiet street. The only issue I would caution someone about is that one bedroom only has half walls (they do not go completely to the ceiling). This made us slightly nervous because there was a huge drop to the living room and we were there with our one and three year old sons. Also, because the bedroom is open to the living room, it was hard for our kids to stay asleep, because they could hear the noises from the rest of the house. This would not stop us from staying there again, but I wish the bedroom walls went up to the ceiling to create a safer and quieter sleeping experience.
Our Nashville family, plus dogs, enjoyed making this our home base as we arrived for a tournament in Fredrick, DE. Great space for three people and two dogs with more room to spare! The place was well equipped, clean, and super convenient to the lovely historic town of Lewes. The people at Lingo that we communicated with were friendly and super helpful. We will return and hope this spot is available for us!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is well equipped and close to town. We were able to relax on the deck and play with our dog in the fenced yard. We definitely want to return.
The proximity to the restaurants and stores is an added plus for this beautiful property. The house is beautifully decorated and the kitchen has every gadget imaginable. The back yard is immaculate and there is a deck with a table and chairs to sit outside if the weather is decent.
One of the bedrooms has an open wall so that when someone is working in the kitchen it is easily heard to the person in that bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms are perfect - in fact the top floor room is like a little suite/getaway.
This property is beautiful. All accommodation expectations met. Fully stocked. Roomy. Comfortable. Nice decor. Fully detailed info book on the property. Great, great, great location. Walkable to town shops and restaurants, the harbor, the beach. Property Manager, Robb, at Jack Lingo Realty went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we expected and more. I would highly recommend.
Everything went great from the very beginning of the process. The house was described perfectly and the Jack Lingo employees were always quick with their responses to my questions. Lovely home, great long weekend vacation.
