Lickert Harder Or Knot Lodge

Country Setting with a relaxing enclosed front and back porch. Fire ring and hearing the sounds of the great outdoors. Great location to Lake Erie for sight seeing, hunters, fishermen and bird watching. Plenty of room to park your boat and vehicles. We have a lane to walk to the creek and even fish and relax. Our 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom country home can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably. Location to lake is 1 mile, fishing ramp within 3-5 miles. We are located in the prime area for walleye and perch fishing. Lickert Harder Lodge makes you feel right at home and relaxed while being close enough to many activities on Lake Erie. We are located by the largest bird week at the Ottawa Wildlife Refuge. If you like to fish or hunt or just love the lake your coming to the right location. We offer a supply of firewood for your stay
We also have a creek down the lane just to take a relaxing walk and grab a pole if you want to do some fishing back at the creek while your there.
A fish cleaning table is available for your use at the home outside. Also many lounge chairs to just relax and enjoy the country living while seeing a fabulous country sunset! Biggest Bird week at Ottawa Wildlife Refuge. National Rifle Matches at Camp Perry . Walleye and perch fishing are the best on Lake Erie! 32 miles to Cedar Point and 15 miles to Port Clinton to get to Put in Bay and the other islands. Back to the Bay 15 min from Jet Express

Family Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Lickert Harder or Knot Lodge. The location was perfect for our planned activities and the house was comfortable and cozy. Gayle was a great host and encouraged us to let her know if we needed anything. Seeing the snow geese out in the surrounding fields was a bonus. We would come here again!

Pleasure to deal with...

I asked the owner if we could arrive early and drop luggage and go fishing, she was all for it! She stayed long enough to give us a proper tour of the facility and we headed out. Homeowners were very kind and gracious and we will 100% be staying again.

Wonderful Weekend in a Wonderful home!

Our yearly trek to Ohio to visit our son was a hit! The house was well stocked, very welcoming and clean. The owner greeted us upon check in and was extremely nice. We stayed at the house the entire weekend watching football and eating good food. The kitchen and open floor plan is great for families. Beds were comfortable. we have no complaints!

Great family gathering location

We hosted a three generation family reunion at the site. The home and property were immaculate. The kitchen supplies exceeded our expectations and fresh eggs shared by the owner was so thoughtful. The little people of our family appreciated the toys and puzzles. We also enjoyed the brief history of the home and the opportunity to place our stars, from three states, on the map.

Perfectly Peaceful

My college girlfriends and our children plan an annual qeekend getaway each year. Thia year we stayed at Knot lodge. The house was perfect for us. We had more than enough space and beds for our group of 6. Gayle and David are wonderful hosts helpful, responsive, and kind! Highly recomend this property and hosts if you are looking for a nice space very close to the lake and yet far away from the crowds on the lake front.

Perfect location to McGee marsh area

Great country house, many amenities, 5 bedrooms but sleeping arrangements a little odd, 2 bedrooms downstairs are great , but upstairs bedrooms are inter-connected so privacy is comprised! Not a Hugh deal but one to be aware of in mixed company, overall a great place for a group, owners are nearby to help with any issues if needed, will definitely stay here again!

The home had all the amenities like towels, glasses, cooking supplies which was more than our need but great for those who need them. Overall great location and stay.

Country living - close to everything!

me the wife the two kids and the mother-in-law up to kick around the lake for a few days. Found this gem on the map - not in town but close to EVERYTHING! Seriously, 20 mins. to the beach, 30 mins to the casino, less than half an hour to everything fun to do between Toledo and Sandusky. The house is a modern update of an old farm house and is very well appointed. superb, modern kitchen with all the appliances. fresh bathroom remodels with great water pressure. satellite and ROKU. Comfy furniture. games and tons of toys for the kiddos (cornhole, cards, etc.). beautiful night skies on the big firepit chairs and country quiet to sleep soundly. Try the Kozy Corner restaurant in Oak Harbor for breakfast - delicious, large portions and prices from 20 years ago - 5 minutes from your front door! The owners were quick to respond to questions and super helpful, providing a list of fun things in the area you might otherwise have missed. Legit 5 out of 5 A experience!

Wonderful Country Home

Our part of 10 had a wonderful 5 day stay. The location is peaceful, but close enough to destinations that the travel time is still convenient. We were well supplied with towels and kitchen utensils. The porches were a favorite amongst everyone. We would definitely love to return in the future.

Comfortable and homey!

Several members of our party went birding while others stayed back to make meals, play games, and relax. Gayle and David, our host were friendly and helpful. The home is spacious and comfortable. We are returning next year.
