"The river was the highlight of our stay. Looking out our back window of our room we could see all kinds of birds and geese in the grass field and in the water of the Housitonic River"
"Rooms were very dusty. Chair in Room had a big hole in it not usable. The place looks very run down. Dirty carpets. Bathroom. Toilet dirty. Bedding had stains. Kitchen filthy could t bring ourselves to eat the breakfast or ha e coffee there. The woman inn keeper looked. Felt sorry for her. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place."

"Comfy room in a beautiful and historic hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and delicious! Litchfield is an adorable town rich with history. I’d highly recommend staying at the Abner if you visit!"
"the person who checked me in was very rude...and when I departed they resisted giving me a receipt because she said "I already gave you one when you checked in" (which I had misplaced) as if they did not know how to RE-PRINT the receipt, plus isn't check-out is when you are SUPPOSED to get a receipt?....and finally, there were only 2 electric outlets and one of them did not work so I had to unplug stuff just to charge my phone..."
